The Role Conflict About Township Social Work Station Participating In The Services Of Rural Happiness Home

The Rural Happiness Home is a model of mutual care for the elderly that does not require leaving home or the countryside,actively created to solve the problem of living care for the empty nesters and the elderly left behind in rural areas.The model is of great practical importance to alleviate the rural elderly-care problem in the era of great mobility.At the present stage,rural happiness homes are facing different degrees of idleness and abandonment in the process of operation.The development and operation of rural happiness homes involve multiple entities and require the cooperation of all of them.As a new force in rural development,township social work station are capable of and must play an active role in participating in rural happiness home services.As one of the new service providers of rural happiness homes,the role of township social work station in the process of participating in rural happiness home services,the way to integrate and coordinate with the government and village committees in the face of role conflicts,and how to promote the development of happiness home services are issues that need to be addressed urgently at present.Guided by the Role Theory,the study takes the participation of township social work station in the rural happiness home service in Area B as an example,mainly uses the interview method and observation method to understand the role conflict between township social work station and various subjects in the process of participating in that service.It also analyzes the manifestations and causes of role conflict in the process of each subject’s participation in the happiness home service,and on this basis proposes strategies to resolve role conflict through three aspects: role perception,role expectation and role orientation.The study found that the role positioning,interaction style and role expectations of each subject in participating in the rural happiness home service were different,mainly as follows: the government’s role as policy decision maker and service supervisor;the village committee’s role as service facilitator and service manager;and the social work station role as service planner and service provider.Township social work station adopt an embedded interaction with the government and an integrated interaction with village committees.There are role conflict dilemmas in the process of interaction between township social work station and the government and village committees in terms of professional service concept,work efficiency,working time and interests of both sides.The main reasons are as follows : the role cognition dislocation of township social work station in the service of rural happiness hospital under the difference of professional concept;the role positioning of township social work stations in the service of rural happiness hospitals under different target mechanisms is contradictory;under the management mode of township social work station internal role expectation gap.To further resolve the role conflict arising from the participation of township social work station in the process of rural happiness home services and to improve the quality of workstations’ participation in the services,this study tries to propose the following solutions.First,when participating in the service of rural happiness homes,township social work stations need to further clarify the service role from the perspective of the government and promote the integrated development of administrative services and professional services.Second,the township social work station needs to strengthen the coordination and communication with the village committee in the service of the rural happiness hospital,and further promote mutual assistance and partnership.Third,the township social work station should pay attention to the cultivation of professional feelings,try to build a service object management mechanism,and further enhance the professional ability of social workers to serve the rural happiness hospital.
