Research On The Professional Competence Of Social Workers In Social Work Station

The township(street)social work service station(abbreviated as "social work station")is a manifestation of grassroots governance innovation and a service position for professional forces to provide professional services.As an important action force in the practical field of social work at social work stations,the construction and service of social workers rooted in the township(street)social service station requires strengthening the professional ability of social workers at social work stations.Exploring the professional capabilities of social workers in social work stations has important research significance for promoting the construction of social work stations and achieving their construction goals.This article studies social workers in social work stations in X Province from the perspective of embedding and system restructuring.Firstly,the research uses participatory observation and semi structured interview methods to study the capacity of social workers in the pilot social work stations in X Province in the S project.The research finds that the capacity of social workers in social work stations is embedded in the construction of social work stations,and it is difficult to effectively exert their professional advantages and abilities.Then,from the perspective of embeddedness,combined with social ecosystem theory,the author analyzes the problem of social worker’s ability embeddedness in social work stations,and finds that the reasons for social worker’s professional ability embeddedness in social work stations are closely related to the ecosystem in which they are located.Inadequate energy and resource supply in micro,meso,and macro systems can also lead to insufficient embeddedness of social worker’s professional ability in social work stations.In addition,further research has found that using social learning theory and guided by the "four in one" social worker professional ability indicators in the dimensions of value,knowledge,technology,and practice,designing courses for cultivating the ability of social workers in social work stations has certain effects and promotes the improvement of the professional ability of social workers in X Province.Finally,from the perspective of social ecosystem theory,it is suggested to intervene in the embedding of social workers’ professional competence in the micro-system,meso-system and macro-system of social workers in social work stations,establish mutual learning groups in social work stations on the micro-system and encourage active participation in the training of professional competence courses.In the medium system,the undertaking institutions of social work stations should improve the project evaluation system,integrate talent resources and increase supervision and support.In order to further improve the macro system of professional ability training system,it is necessary to improve the practical courses of social work education,adjust the social work practice mechanism,strengthen social work research,and the government should strengthen the support of social work stations and social workers in social work stations.Excavating the professional competence embedding strategy of social workers in social work stations from the social ecosystem,giving social workers in social work stations full opportunities and conditions to improve their professional competence has positive significance for expanding the professional advantages of social workers in social work stations and promoting the improvement of their professional service level,which is conducive to the better construction and operation of social work stations,giving full play to the functions of social work stations,and ensuring the livelihood of grassroots people.Promote community governance in urban and rural areas and contribute to rural revitalization.
