As a vital element for improving the quality of ideological and political education under the new situation,psychological education is crucial to the all-round development of college and university students.In the new era,it emphasizes the collaboration and integration of "mental health education" and "moral education",providing the answers to the two core questions in the process of educating people,which are "what kind of people to cultivate" and "how to cultivate people" from the double perspectives of mental health education and ideological and political education,which does provide the necessary psychological conditions for universities and colleges to deepen the implementation of fostering virtue through education.This research is based on a thorough review of the literature on psychological education and "macro ideological political thoughts," combing through the connotation,essential characteristics,and basic theories of psychological education and "macro ideological political thoughts," as well as theoretically exploring the logical connection between psychological education and ideological political education.The current situation of psychology education in colleges and universities was thoroughly explored from a practical aspect through questionnaire surveys and case interviews.As a result,existing achievements and challenges related to psychology education at colleges and universities were analyzed and discussed.The general development of psychology education in colleges and universities has been determined to be beneficial,and the majority of colleges and universities have generally established a "four-in-one" psychological education system including curriculum teaching,practical activities,counseling service,and the prevention and intervention of mental crisis,but psychological education does have several issues on the construction and implementation of mental health curriculum,the innovation and collaboration of the carriers of psychological education,and the cooperation among the subjects of psychological education,which affect the its performance.This study aims to analyze the optimization path of psychological education practice in colleges and universities under the perspective of "macro ideological political thoughts",that is,considering fostering virtue through education as the fundamental purpose,highlighting the requirement of collaborative innovation,people-oriented concept and "three-way education",building a collaborative and comprehensive curriculum system,innovating and integrating the practical carriers of psychological education at all levels,forming a joint and interoperable home-school alliances of psychological education,which aim to improve the effectiveness of psychological education from multiple perspectives.and to provide a certain perspective for the scientific development of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.
