| Primary school is one of the important stages of life education.During this period,students begin to understand themselves and the world around them,and teachers need to guide them to focus on physical and mental health and build positive relationships.This will lay the foundation for their future growth and development.As a teaching carrier with vivid images and edutainment characteristics,picture books are suitable for use in primary school life education teaching.Therefore,this study aims to explore the important role of picture books in life education in primary schools,and explore the teaching strategies of life education with picture books as the carrier.Through the discussion of these issues,we can provide some useful enlightenment and practical reference for the practice of primary school life education.In this study,the students in the third grade(6)class of L elementary school in Z city were selected as the research subjects,and the action research method was used,supplemented by literature method and questionnaire method to understand the current status of life education in elementary school,to investigate how to use picture books to educate elementary school students about life,and to consider the role and value of picture books in life education in the middle grade of elementary school.To explore the role and value of picture books in life education in the middle grades of elementary schools.Four relevant picture books were selected for teaching activities around three themes: man and self,man and others,and man and nature.Through three cycles of the action research process,the researcher drew the corresponding research conclusions.The results of the study show that using picture books as a carrier to carry out life education in elementary school is effective.First,picture books are beneficial to the development of students’ life cognition and life values.Secondly,picture books have a modeling effect on students’ attitudes and behaviors toward life.Finally,picture book stories guide students to reflect on life education topics.The effective implementation of life education in elementary schools through picture books needs to start from the following aspects: First,open-ended questions are used to enhance students’ inner experience of picture books.Second,organize cooperative discussions to understand the philosophy of life in depth.Third,to lead students on a journey of life education from a child’s perspective.Based on the findings of the study,the researcher makes the following suggestions.On the one hand,the topic of life education should be carried out by skillfully using the form of picture books,exploring the role of picture books in the systematization and completeness of life education,deepening the understanding of the connotation of life education,reasonably selecting picture books for teaching,and innovating diverse forms of picture book teaching.On the other hand,in order to jointly promote the development of life education,it is necessary to unite multiple forces.Schools should pay attention to the role of picture books in life education in elementary school,provide life education and picture book reading training for teachers,create a life education environment for students,and create places for picture book experiences.Parents can guide their children to get life education from picture books in many ways to promote their growth and development. |
