With the continuous enhancement of the call for quality education in the reform of basic education curriculum, this trend has promoted the development of innovative and diversified teaching in secondary schools, and study trips are an important way for schools to implement quality education.Although the concept of study travel has entered China for a short time,it has become a new topic widely concerned by the education sector with the promotion of a series of documents such as the National Tourism and Leisure Program(2013-2020)promulgated by the state.Museum resources are available and very convenient places for social practice and education,so combining research and museums, and using venue resources to design research travel course education, can enhance students’ cultivation of geographical knowledge and ecological awareness, strengthen students’ collection and collation of knowledge, and refine the exercise of expression ability.Qinghai Province, with different geographical units and various geological and geomorphological forms, contains rich geographical tourism resources, inhabits many high-altitude native spirits, and also gives birth to the mysterious Qinghai civilization. However,at present, there is less development and utilization rate of these study tour resources, and there are even fewer geography courses with museums as the main body. Therefore, this paper attempts to rely on the existing resources of the Qinghai Provincial Museum of Natural Resources to explore new bumps and highlands for the development of secondary school study travel courses. This paper uses the literature analysis method to sort out and analyze the existing relevant research at home and abroad, sorts out the development process and research weaknesses of museum research, and then conducts a questionnaire survey for teachers and students of some middle schools in Xining City,Qinghai Province, and understands that the current situation of geographical study trips in Xining City is as follows: First, research activities are less organized, and relevant institutions lack organizational motivation and enthusiasm;Second, the resources of museum venues have not been effectively used in middle school teaching, and there is a large space for development;Third, teachers and students are more interested in museum research, and they are more looking forward to expanding students’ horizons and helping students understand the design of research courses in their hometowns.Based on the requirements and contents of the general high school geography curriculum standards and the high school geography textbook, and the analysis of the text resources, collection resources, spatial resources, security resources and human resources contained in the exhibition hall group of Qinghai Natural Resources Museum, the researchers found that they are very suitable for the development and design of high school geography study travel courses based on venue resources. Therefore, according to the requirements of basic education curriculum reform in the context of the new era,the characteristics of the physical and mental development of high school students, and the unique regional characteristics of Qinghai Province, this design selects and allocates the curriculum resources in the library, and designs the high school geography study trip course plan according to the principles of safety, education, subjectivity, orientation and fun.Organizational form, activity process, evaluation criteria and implementation suggestions. The scheme integrates the current popular elements and novel methods, hoping to provide a reference plan for Xining Museum to carry out study trips.
