The female images in literary works in high school language textbooks are typical and relevant,and deserve attention.Most of the existing studies have been sorted out and analyzed from the perspective of gender culture and teaching value analysis,pointing out the problems of textbook layout and teachers’ teaching on female images and making suggestions,but all of them have a single perspective.From the perspective of historical contextualization,it is important to explore the historical significance of female images as new teaching content,restore historical reality and perception,encourage students’ historical construction,and help enrich students’ historical perception,deepen their understanding of female images and comprehend the main idea and cultural connotation of the novel.Therefore,based on the restoration of historical context,this study tries to explore new perspectives of teaching female images,optimize teaching principles and strategies,and reflect on their effects through teaching practice,hoping to provide new ideas for high school language teaching and promote the diversification of teaching contents of female images in high school.The thesis is divided into five parts: proposing questions,exploring teaching contents,analyzing teaching values and goals,proposing teaching principles and strategies,and teaching practices and reflections.The first part uses questionnaires to analyze the current situation of teaching female images in high school language textbooks,pointing out the problems: the teaching content is relatively single,the teaching methods are mechanistic,and although teachers are aware of the teaching value of the historical significance of female images,they lack concrete practice and generalize the historical background introduction.The second part analyzes typical modern fictional female images based on the unified high school language textbook,restores the corresponding historical context,explores the rich historical meaning behind female images,and provides a new entry point for teaching female images.Based on theories of feminism,gender and language curriculum,the third part analyzes the teaching value of female images in modern novels in terms of female images themselves and students’ development,presents the teaching objectives of female images in modern novels,and provides a basis for subsequent teaching practice.The fourth part proposes four principles based on the specific characteristics of the historical significance of female images,and elaborates the theoretical basis of the teaching principles from the perspective of the relationship between literature and history and micro-history.The four principles are: "Based on the text,restore historical reality and historical cognition," "Respect the subject,encourage students’ historical construction," "Highlight the typical,link individual and group images," "return to reality,look at the current society".According to the principles of teaching,we propose three stages of teaching strategies for the image of women in modern high school novels that meet the requirements of the new curriculum.In the fifth part,based on the teaching practice of the topic of female image in high school modern novels,students’ practical works are analyzed,and the practical value of the aforementioned teaching principles and strategies is summarized.Based on the perspective of historical context restoration,it enriches the theoretical research content and teaching content of female image in high school language,expands the teaching ideas of female image in modern novels,and promotes students’ core literacy development.
