Purpose: By observing the intestinal flora and metabolomics of college athletes and ordinary college students, this study explored the change characteristics of intestinal flora and metabolites of college athletes, aimed at understanding the status quo of physical activity, intestinal flora and metabolomics of college students, and analyzed the mechanism and pathway of action of exercise affecting health from the aspects of intestinal flora and metabolomics.Scientific evaluation of its effectiveness, from promoting college students to establish active exercise lifestyle,to achieve a higher level of health. Methods: A total of 29 students from a university in Guangzhou were recruited as research objects and divided into the group of college athletes(14 students)and the group of ordinary college students(15 students).Acti Graph w GT3X-BT triaxial accelerometer was used to observe the physical activity of Bouchard for 7 days in combination with the physical activity diary table. At the same time, fecal samples of the subjects were collected, and the species characteristic sequence information of intestinal flora was obtained by Illumina Novaseq sequencing platform using 16 S r RNA method, and the species composition and metabolomics of the samples were analyzed.Alpha Diversity analysis, significant species difference analysis, correlation analysis and Beta diversity functional prediction were used to analyze the characteristics of intestinal flora and metabolomics of college athletes. The sample metabolomics analysis was based on LC-QTOF platform, and 29 samples were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The correlations between physical activity indexes and intestinal flora data, physical activity indexes and intestinal flora metabolomics indexes were analyzed by Pearson or Spearman correlation analysis.Results:(1)The sedentary time of college athletes group(350.94±74.97min)was significantly less than that of ordinary college students group(538.45±11.50min)(P < 0.001);The average daily energy expenditure(305.57±105.26 Kcals)and average daily metabolic equivalent(1.33±0.081 Mets)of the college students were significantly higher than those of the general college students(177.95±69.13Kcals)and(1.24±0.043Mets)(P < 0.001).Group(2)college athletes Rhodovibrionales(0.00021103 + /-0.0000317),Campylobacteria(0.000821609 + 0.000193986)for abundance than college students group Rhodovibrionales(0.00)00887±0.0000335),Campylobacteria(0.0000694±0.0000121)high(P < 0.05)(3)In metabolomics,a total of 38 metabolite differences, the function of these 38 metabolites focus on lipid metabolism, amino acid metabolism, and vitamin metabolism,For example,beta-Cryptoxanthin(P < 0.01),Acetylvalerenolic acid(P < 0.01),7,8-didehydrodesmosterol(P < 0.01),2-Methylbutyl acetate(P < 0.01),Prostaglandin B2(P < 0.01).(4)Campylobacteria(r=-0.548,r=-0.375)bacteria abundance was negatively correlated with moderate to high physical activity and sedentary time(P < 0.05);Erysipelotrichia(r=0.372)was positively correlated with sedentary time(P < 0.05).The relative abundance of Deferribacteres(r=0.379)was positively correlated with the average daily consumption(P <0.05).(5)Niacinamide(r=-0.418)was negatively correlated with sedentary time(P < 0.05),and L-Pipecolic acid(r=-0.39,-0.373)was negatively correlated with amino acid metabolism(P < 0.05).9,10-dihome(r=0.382)was positively correlated with medium and high plasma activity(P < 0.05),Thromboxane B2(r=0.436)was positively correlated with average daily plasma consumption(P < 0.05).These metabolites were correlated with energy supply metabolites of lipid metabolism.Conclusion:(1)The species richness and evenness of intestinal flora of college students were similar.(2)There was no significant difference in intestinal flora richness and diversity between the college athletes group and the college students group.(3)The number of campylobacter in college athletes was significantly higher than that in ordinary college students. In terms of the proportion of bacterial community structure, the college athletes group was better than the college students group.(4)Long-term high-intensity exercise training can increase the abundance of campylobacter and epsilon Proteobacteria;Exercise ability is related to amino acid metabolism, lipid metabolism and vitamin metabolism.
