Vulnerability Analysis Of Urban Old-age Assistance Objects And Research On Social Work Intervention Strategies

Population aging is still a realistic problem that all countries in the world are facing urgently at present,and the related pension problem has always been concerned.Since the 21 st century,China’s aging speed has been accelerating,and with the growth of the overall base,the number of poor elderly people has been increasing.In academic circles and practical fields,people tend to pay attention to the problem of elderly poverty among the population,but lack attention to the problem of elderly poverty among the poor.In recent years,the problem of poverty among the elderly in rural areas has been widely discussed.However,there are still a large number of elderly assistance targets in urban areas with high economic development level,many employment opportunities and abundant resources.Due to the differences between urban and rural areas,attention to urban elderly groups will also provide different practical paths and policy optimization directions at the policy or practice level.Based on this,this study takes the urban elderly assistance group as the research object,and introduces the concept,index system and analysis framework of old-age vulnerability from the perspective of vulnerability theory.Taking B town of S city as an example,it aims to explore the current level and performance characteristics of oldage vulnerability of urban elderly assistance objects,and find out the deep-seated reason behind the objective phenomenon,that is,the formation mechanism of old-age vulnerability of urban elderly assistance objects,so as to open a "window" for social work to intervene in this group’s old-age problem and realize old-age ".Through research,it is found that the vulnerability of the elderly recipients in Town B is at a medium and high level,showing different characteristics in different dimensions and levels.Specifically,there are significant differences in the classification of old-age vulnerability in exposure level and sensitivity dimension,but there is no significant difference in adaptability between middle-aged and low-aged vulnerable groups.From the cross analysis of individual quality,family structure and social policy guarantee,the elderly recipients with poor health,depression,low social participation,unmarried and childless are more likely to be in the middle and high level of old-age vulnerability.At the level of social policy,the three categories did not show obvious differences,and basically remained around the sample mean.Combined with the interview data,this study further draws the deep-seated formation mechanism under the superficial characteristics of the old-age vulnerability.The study shows that three factors promote the emergence of the old-age vulnerability,namely,the basic factors: the weak base;Core driving factors: the weakening of family pension function;External pull factor: there is a target deviation between policy implementation and landing.The three kinds of factors are independent of each other,but they influence each other.The weakening of one party’s ability requires the blessing of the other two rings to achieve conservation.The vulnerability of urban elderly assistance objects is produced in such an unbalanced dynamic cycle.Finally,based on the formation mechanism,the author expounds the intervention strategy of social work from three aspects: individual,family and policy,with a view to promoting the maturity and development of the field of social work.
