Currently, the issue of population aging in China is becoming increasingly serious and has become a social issue. With the gradual improvement of the average life expectancy of the elderly, the issue of elderly people with cognitive impairment has increasingly attracted social attention.Early cognitive screening, diagnosis, and comprehensive treatment have gradually become an important way to alleviate the development of the disease.Cognitive disorders involve a range of psychological and social behaviors such as learning, memory, language, thinking, spirit, and emotions, and their manifestations are diverse.Currently, there is no drug that can be eradicated.Conventional treatment for cognitive disorders includes drug therapy and non drug intervention, among which non drug intervention mainly refers to daily life skill training and various group therapies,Relevant research has proven that appropriate interventions can effectively delay or prevent the emergence of cognitive disorders. This study takes a cognitive training group conducted by medical social workers as an example to demonstrate the practical process of elderly people with mild cognitive impairment participating in cognitive training groups.Social workers combine the theory and skills of group work to analyze the different needs of elderly people with mild cognitive impairment, design group service plans based on the needs of the elderly, and evaluate the effectiveness of the group using the Cognitive Disability Screening Scale and Group Satisfaction Questionnaire. The research results show that conducting cognitive training groups by social workers has significant significance in improving the cognitive status of elderly people with mild cognitive impairment.Through continuous and stable group cognitive training,it can alleviate the psychological anxiety and pressure of service objects, further reduce other problems caused by emotions and behaviors, positively strengthen their positive behaviors and transitions, and rebuild their sense of self-identity.Finally,the paper summarizes the possibility of social workers implementing intervention with mild cognitive impairment in the field of community health service centers, and further explores the intervention model, providing reference for social workers to conduct practical research on elderly people with mild cognitive impairment in the future.
