| With the aging of society, the elderly group and their physical and psychological problems have attracted more and more attention from society.Among them, mild cognitive impairment,as an intermediate state between normal aging and dementia in the elderly, seriously affects the physical and mental health of the elderly, resulting in their easy depression. If depression is not relieved in time,it will further exacerbate the progression rate from mild to complete cognitive impairment in the elderly. Therefore,it is of great significance to pay attention to and timely social work intervention for the alleviation of depression in the elderly with mild cognitive impairment.Based on the field investigation in the Y nursing home in L City, this study was guided by activity theory, social support theory and demand theory, and used literature research method, questionnaire survey method and semi-structured interview method to systematically analyze the manifestations and causes of depression in the elderly with mild cognitive impairment.Studies have found that elderly people with mild cognitive impairment have depressed emotions such as large mood fluctuations, decreased subjective volitional activity, and negative evaluation of the past and future. The reasons are mainly caused by personal reasons such as the personal illness and individual personality of the elderly with mild cognitive impairment, family reasons such as insufficient family emotional care and continuous support, and institutional reasons such as nursing home unit accommodation and epidemic closure. In response to the above findings, workers used the group work method to carry out seven group activities with the theme of "Warmth and Sunshine" in order to alleviate the depression of the elderly with mild cognitive impairment. The study found that the depression of older adults with mild cognitive impairment who participated in group activities was significantly improved. In this process, group work can not only encourage the elderly to actively expand their social scope, but also promote their emotional interaction with the staff in the nursing home, and also promote the physical, mental, social and cognitive development of the elderly with mild cognitive impairment. However,it should be noted that there are still some problems that merit further research in the intervention of group work in the depressed mood of elderly people with mild cognitive impairment. |
