| With the promulgation of the Compulsory Education Physics Curriculum Standard(2022edition),the reform of the physical,chemical and biological experimental examination and the demand for talents in the development of science and technology,educators pay more and more attention to physics experiment teaching.However,at present,students ’learning motivation for junior middle school physics experiment is not clear,so educators need to use various motivational strategies to improve students’ learning motivation.The ARCS motivation model is a teaching model that stimulates,maintains and improves students’ learning motivation through motivation strategies from four dimensions of attention,correlation,self-confidence and satisfaction,which meets the needs of the current educational environment.Therefore,this study starts from the theoretical research of ARCS motivation model,designed the ARCS motivation strategy combined with the characteristics of physics experiment teaching in junior middle school,constructed and applied the teaching model of this strategy,and found that the ARCS motivation model has positive significance in the teaching of physics experiment in junior middle school through teaching practice.The main research contents are described as follows:First,summarize the theory of the ARCS motivation model and the teaching characteristics of junior high school physics experiment by reading literature,and provide solid theoretical support for the design of motivation strategy.Second,Use the questionnaire method and interview method to understand the motivation of junior high school students to learn physics experiments and the current situation of junior high school physics experiment teaching,and analyze the necessity of integrating ARCS motivation model into junior high school physics experiment teaching;The questionnaire results and interview results showed that high school students had a low level of learning motivation for learning experiments,and students had shorter attention span maintenance time in the experimental classroom,lacked understanding of the importance of physical experiments,and had low confidence and satisfaction in completing experiments.Third,Three teaching cases of "Connecting Series Circuit and Parallel Circuit","Exploring the Law of Convex Lens Imaging" and "Exploring the Heat Absorption and Release of Different Objects" were designed and put into practice,and the routine experimental teaching was carried out in the control class,and the experimental teaching of the experimental class was integrated into the ARCS motivation model.Through the comparative analysis of teaching practice,it is found that the learning motivation level and performance of the experimental class have improved,the attention span has become longer,the importance of physical experiments has been more deeply understood,and self-confidence and satisfaction have improved. |
