Modern education philosophy advocates that students are in the main position in classroom teaching activities,and the degree of students’ participation in classroom teaching activities can reflect students’ subjectivity to a certain extent.In secondary schools,vocational skills training is the core,different levels of classroom participation correlate to levels of vocational skill mastery.This paper aims to reflect the different levels of students’ classroom participation from the perspective of vocational skills by measuring students’ mastery of different vocational skills levels,and then propose some suggestions to improve classroom participation in a targeted way.The paper mainly did the following:(1)analyzed the relationship between classroom engagement and vocational skills.According to the national vocational skills standards and the 21 st century skills framework,we analyze the connotation of vocational skills in electronics technology application and divide them into general skills and professional skills.This study focuses on professional skills and divides them into three levels: perceptual impression skills,procedural application skills,and contextual integrated skills.Through students’ participation performance in practical training classes,students’ classroom participation was classified into three levels:superficial participation,shallow participation,and deep participation.The inner relationship between the three levels of classroom participation and the three tiers of vocational skills was analyzed in depth.(2)Taking the practical training course of "Electronic Technology Fundamentals and Skills" as an example,the three different levels of vocational skills corresponding to the participation level and vocational skills included in the course were analyzed in detail,and the classroom participation assessment scale was designed based on the mastery of vocational skills,and the assessment methods for different levels of classroom participation were given.The classroom participation scale was used to analyze the students of a secondary school in Guizhou,and the three levels of classroom participation were found to be "olive-shaped",with a large middle and small ends,i.e.,most students could achieve shallow participation,and some students could achieve superficial participation and deep participation.(3)Based on the assessment results,we proposed some strategies to improve classroom participation from the perspective of developing students’ vocational skills at three different levels.
