As the main body of classroom teaching,whether students can actively participate in the classroom will affect students' learning experience and learning effect,and the degree of students' engagement in the classroom is also an important indicator to measure a class.Student engagement has always been a concern of researchers.There are many problems behind the seemingly active participation of students in information technology classroom.The application of teaching strategies can promote student engagement.Teachers should pay attention to arousing students' initiative and enthusiasm in classroom teaching,and guide students to participate actively in the classroom.Only when students really participate in information technology classroom teaching,can they give full play to students' autonomy,creativity and initiative,and improve classroom efficiency.The research shows that students' engagement mainly includes three aspects: behavioural engagement,cognitive engagement and emotional engagement.This study also focuses on these three aspects.This research adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview,based on Constructivism theory,humanism theory and subject education theory.Through consulting the relevant literature,compiling the questionnaire of students' engagement status,analyzing the deficiencies of students' engagement status from three aspects:behavioural engagement,cognitive engagement and emotional engagement,and combining with the characteristics of information technology subject in junior high school,junior high school students' characteristics,factors affecting students' classroom engagement,putting forward strategies and verifying its effectiveness.The main work of this study is as follows.1.By reviewing the literature on the status quo of student engagement at home and abroad,defining the relevant concepts of student engagement,and determining its theoretical basis.2.On the basis of previous studies,a questionnaire on the current situation of students' engagement in information technology classroom teaching in junior high schools is compiled.Through data analysis,the deficiencies of students' engagement in behavioural,cognitive and emotional dimensions are concluded.The factors influencing students' engagement are sorted out.Combining the characteristics of information technology disciplines in junior high schools and junior high school students' characteristics,the strategies are formulated.Put forward strategies to enhance students' engagement.3.The strategy is applied to the information technology classroom teaching in junior high school,the data of the experimental class and the control class are compared and analyzed,and the research conclusion is drawn.Through the above research,the research results mainly include the following two aspects:1.Through the data analysis of the questionnaire,the conclusion is drawn,the main problems existing in the present situation of students' engagement in information technology classes in junior high schools are as follows: the degree of research in behavioural engagement needs to be improved,the participation time is limited;the shallow strategies are used more in cognitive engagement,and the dependence is strong;the negative emotions exist in emotional engagement,and the enthusiasm is not high.2.According to the problems existing in the investigation of students' engagement status,combined with the influencing factors of students' engagement,the characteristics of information technology and junior high school students,the strategies are put forward from the perspective of teachers.The strategies to improve behavioural engagement include the strategies of selecting teaching materials and allocating time reasonably;the strategies to improve cognitive engagement include the strategies of guiding students to explore cooperatively;and the strategies to improve emotional engagement include the strategies of creating task situations.Two classes were selected for the teaching experiment,and the experimental data were analyzed.The experiment results show that the proposed strategies can improve students' inadequacies in behavioural engagement,cognitive engagement and emotional engagement to a certain extent,and play a positive role in students' engagement in classroom teaching.
