With the proposal of core literacy,how to cultivate students’ core literacy effectively is worth thinking about,and teaching materials play a key role in this process.The arrangement of teaching materials is an important starting point to embody the spirit of core literacy.At present,the latest version of compulsory education curriculum standards has been released,which marks the beginning of the compulsory education phase of the cultivation mission of core literacy,and the new version of textbooks marked behind the new course will inevitably achieve the implementation of the core literacy education concept.The concept of mathematics is the foundation of mathematics.Starting from the concept,it gradually presents the basic idea of arranging mathematics textbooks in a more in-depth way.This study compares and studies the core mathematics literacy embodied by the concept arrangement of the textbooks in terms of the middle school mathematics textbooks currently in use,and selects the middle school mathematics textbooks of the People’s Education edition and the Northern Teachers edition as the research object.This study not only makes a macroscopic comparison and analysis of the concept arrangement in algebra and number in the two editions of textbooks,but also makes a statistical analysis of how the concept introduction,concept definition and concept application of the two editions of textbooks reflect the core literacy of mathematics.The attention to these similarities and differences can lead us to a deeper understanding of the specific situation of the arrangement of the textbook concepts and the implementation of the core literacy in our country.The study sets two research questions:(1)What are the core mathematical qualities embodied in the field concept arrangement of the two editions of the textbook Number and Algebra? What is the specific performance of each core quality?(2)What are the similarities and differences between the two editions of the textbook Number and Algebra in the presentation of the core literacy of mathematics?Through the development of the research tool "Conceptual Analysis Framework from the perspective of Core Literacy",the content analysis method and comparison method are adopted to compare and analyze the concept arrangement from dimensions: overall conceptual arrangement,concept introduction,concept definition and concept application,and the following conclusions are drawn.(1)The core literacy of the two editions includes model concept,application consciousness,innovation consciousness,abstract ability,geometric intuition,arithmetic ability,reasoning ability and data concept.(2)There are differences in the core literacy of conceptual arrangement between the two editions in each dimension.(3)The core qualities of conceptual arrangement of the two editions tend to be consistent on the whole.According to the research conclusion,the following suggestions are put forward for the concept arrangement of number and algebra domain in the two editions of textbooks:(1)Select math problems close to the reality of life,so that various core qualities are reflected in the textbook.(2)Add questions related to the core literacy of data concept and innovation consciousness.(3)Absorb the advantages of strong logic in the concept arrangement of the humanistic edition and good at creating problem situations of the Northern Normal edition.(4)Establish quantitative indexes of conceptual arrangement based on core literacy to enrich the comparative dimensions of conceptual arrangement.
