| Overall national security concept education is one of the important contents of ideological and political education in the new era.To do a good job in overall national security concept education is an important task of ideological and political education in colleges and universities in the new era.Strengthening the education of overall national security concept in ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities can improve college students’ awareness and practical ability of overall national security concept,improve the ideological and political education system,and promote the education of overall national security concept in practice.Starting from the concept of overall national security concept,this paper deeply studies the existing deficiencies and causes of strengthening the education of overall national security concept in ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities,and puts forward constructive countermeasures on this basis to provide theoretical thinking and practical compliance for strengthening the education of overall national security concept in ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities.The text is divided into four parts.The first part firstly defines the basic connotation and content of the overall national security concept education.It makes clear that the overall concept of national security is an ideological system covering 16 areas including political security,military security,and homeland security,It also expounds the significance of strengthening the overall national security concept education in ideological and political courses in colleges and universities from five aspects: enriching the content of ideological and political courses,improving the quality of security education,deepening patriotism education,safeguarding national security in the new era and cultivating new people who take on the great task of national rejuvenation.The second part elaborates the deficiency of strengthening the overall national security concept education in ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities.That is to say,in the process of improving the depth of education of overall national security concept,there are deficiencies in theory extension,value guidance and practice interaction.In the practice of improving the appeal and attraction of the overall national security concept education in the classroom,there are shortcomings of the overall national security concept education biased towards theoretical indoctrination and the classroom interaction atmosphere dull.In the process of strengthening the effectiveness of the education of the overall national security concept,the educational purpose is not effective and sustainable.The third part analyzes the deep-seated reasons for the above deficiencies.The deficiencies of ideological and political courses in strengthening the overall national security concept utilitarianism,college students do not have the initiative to learn the overall national security concept of education.From the perspective of curriculum construction,due to the lack of macro-design of ideological and political courses and the imperfect assessment mechanism of courses and teachers,the curriculum design of ideological and political courses to strengthen the overall national security concept education is not perfect.From the perspective of curriculum content,due to the lack of close connection between the education of overall national security concept and ideological and political courses and the lack of pertinence of teaching content,the education content of overall national security concept lacks overall planning.From the perspective of teaching methods,the lack of interaction between the two sides of education,insufficient integration of classroom case teaching,inadequate use of information technology,the lack of corresponding campus cultural activities,the overall national security concept of education and teaching methods are solidified.The fourth part proposes practical and feasible measures to strengthen the overall national security education in ideological and political courses in universities in response to the aforementioned shortcomings and causes.Firstly,by enhancing teachers’ overall national security education awareness and teaching ability,we can improve the overall national security education comprehensive literacy of ideological and political course teachers;Thirdly,by clarifying the overall national security education and teaching standards for ideological and political courses in universities,improving the curriculum and teacher assessment mechanism,and strengthening the guidance of overall national security education in ideological and political courses in universities;Fourthly,by strengthening value guidance,focusing on historical summary,grasping the overall position,method,and theory,and emphasizing hot topic interpretation,the quasi ideological and political theory course will strengthen the overall content of national security education;The fifth is to use two-way interaction,information technology,and
