| With the development of technology and the normalization of online life,the "homestead economy" has developed rapidly,and the concept of the metaverse has become increasingly popular.Global technology companies have entered the metaverse,and major brands have also launched various types of digital collectibles.Based on this background,the purpose of this article is to explore the application value of the concept of digital collectibles in the metaverse,and what changes it can bring to products,markets,humans,and society.This article studies the concept of the metaverse and concludes that the metaverse is a dual centered ecosystem,divided into an industrial metaverse and a consumer metaverse.The former focuses on improving the production efficiency of physical industries,while the latter focuses on enriching people’s spiritual civilization world.And by analyzing the popular application scenarios in the industrial metaverse and consumer metaverse,the concept of digital collectibles and NFT is introduced.NFT is an important cornerstone of the development of consumer metaverse,known as digital collectibles in China,and has sparked a wave of investment in recent years.Through a large number of case studies,this article provides a detailed overview of the development process of NFT in foreign countries and the process of China’s exploration of digital collectibles from immaturity to gradual market standardization.It analyzes the differences between domestic and foreign digital collectibles in terms of underlying infrastructure,creative models,circulation,and application scenarios.Then through the comparative analysis of digital collections and traditional works of art,it is concluded that digital collections have the advantages of scarcity,tamper resistance,traceability,right confirmation,decentralization,etc.in the art market.Finally,the trend pyramid analysis method was used to analyze the development trends of digital collectibles at the product level,market level,consumer level,and social level based on the four modules of micro trend,medium trend,large trend,and giant trend,indicating the development risks of digital collectibles under the concept of the metaverse.A detailed competitor analysis was conducted on popular digital collectibles application platforms both domestically and internationally.It was found that the current products on the market have shortcomings such as single gameplay,insufficient variety of collectibles,insufficient user autonomy,and limited empowerment of physical industries.Improvement suggestions were proposed,providing a basis for future design practices.Based on the research on the concept of the metaverse and the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of various digital collection platforms mentioned above,while affirming the value of digital collectibles,the author conducted a questionnaire survey on different groups of people,and carried out design practices for the "Metadream" digital collection art market APP and encrypted digital blind box characters.This broadened the design ideas of digital collection platforms and provided application references for future designers,And further tested the feasibility,playability,value,and physical industry empowerment of digital collectibles of all things in the future metaverse market. |
