Education in Tibet has always been a matter of national concern,but the weakness of basic education,especially science education,can not be ignored,and the problem of professional development of teachers,the implementer of teaching,can not be ignored.With the implementation of the new curriculum,teachers in Tibet are facing unprecedented challenges.Therefore,it is imperative to carry out the research on teachers’ professional development under the background of the new curriculum.After consulting and analyzing a large number of literatures,there are many relevant studies on the professional development of teachers at home and abroad.By comprehensive comparison,it is found that there are few relevant studies at home and abroad on the professional development of chemistry teachers in Tibet.In this paper,all the junior high school chemistry teachers in Lhasa city and county were selected as samples,and the methods of questionnaire and interview were used,investigated the professional development of junior middle school chemistry teachers in Lhasa and analyzed the data.To analyze the factors that affect the professional development of junior high school chemistry teachers in Lhasa from the perspectives of individual,school and society,helps teachers understand their own professional development,and hopes to provide some advice for junior high school teachers.In order to improve the professional development of junior high school chemistry teachers in Tibet,Finally by establishing a clear career planning,establishing the idea of lifelong learning,encouraging teachers to reflect on teaching,perfecting the incentive mechanism,carrying out the system of teacher-apprentice,developing online and offline teaching and research activities effectively,strengthen the training content and other ways to put forward the practical implementation strategy for Tibetan junior high school chemistry teachers.Through this study,we can better understand the current situation of the professional development of chemistry teachers in junior high schools in Lhasa,and propose effective countermeasures to trigger teachers’ self-reflection,so as to promote the professional development of chemistry teachers in junior high schools in Tibet.In addition,this study also expect society,school and educational administration departments to attach importance to the Tibetan junior high school chemistry teachers’ professional development,At the same time,it also provides useful reference for the professional development of teachers in other disciplines.
