In 2016,China issued the Mountain Outdoor Sports Industry Development Plan,and in 2021,the centralized promulgation of the Opinions on Strengthening Youth Sports to Enhance Youth Physical Fitness and the National Fitness Plan(2021-2025)made outdoor sports usher in a vigorous development period,which reflected the government’s emphasis on youth sports health.Rock climbing,as one of the characteristics of outdoor sports,is very popular among teenagers.With the increasing participation of teenagers in recent years,problems such as the lack of teachers,uneven level of coaches and the need to improve teaching quality are highlighted.As a high-risk sport,it has stricter requirements for employees.The proposal of "Implementation Opinions on Setting Coaches’ Posts in Schools" in2023 highlights the urgency of training and standardizing coaches’ abilities.Therefore,this study aims at constructing the evaluation index system of young rock climbing coaches’ teaching ability,in order to promote the standardized management of rock climbing coaches’ teaching ability and improve the talent selection system.This study focuses on the evaluation index system for assessing the teaching ability of coaches who work with juvenile rock climbers.Based on the principles of the Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process,we constructed an evaluation index system for this purpose.Throughout the process of developing the index system,firstly,the literature method is used to systematically sort out the previous research on rock climbing coaches,the evaluation research on the coaching ability of coaches in other projects and the national rock climbing project standards;By using the method of expert interview,this paper discusses the present situation and predicament of coaches’ teaching ability,and on this basis,preliminarily constructs the evaluation index of young rock climbing coaches’ teaching ability.Secondly,according to the Delphi method theory,10 experts in the field of rock climbing were invited to make two rounds of amendments to the preliminary construction indicators by means of questionnaire survey,and finally the evaluation indicators of this study were established.Analytic Hierarchy Process is used to calculate the weights of the selected indicators and sort the weights of the indicators,and finally the evaluation index system of the teaching ability of young rock climbing coaches is determined.Among them,the weight values of the core indicators at the criterion level in the evaluation index system are: special sports training ability 0.3395,rock climbing teaching guidance ability 0.1883,and training innovation ability 0.1192;The weight values of the core indicators in the scheme layer are: the ability to make a training plan scientifically,the ability to arrange the training content reasonably,the ability to analyze and explain the climbing route,the ability to explain and demonstrate the technical movements,the ability to execute the training plan,and the cognitive ability of the characteristics and laws of climbing events.Finally,the evaluation system constructed in this study was empirically analyzed using the fuzzy evaluation method to assess rock climbing coaches in a certain experimental high school in Chengdu,demonstrating the rationality and effectiveness of the evaluation index system.Finally,it is concluded that the selection of indicators and the assignment of weights of the evaluation index system of adolescent rock climbing coaches are scientific and reasonable.This evaluation index system expands the theoretical scope of the evaluation of adolescent rock climbing coaches,provides an important reference for recruiting,evaluating and training adolescent rock climbing coaches,provides a useful theoretical basis and practical guidance for promoting the healthy development of rock climbing,and is of great significance for improving the coaching level of coaches and ensuring the healthy growth of adolescents.
