Research On The Competition System To Support The Construction Of Chengdu As A World Sports City

With the issuance of policy documents such as the "Several Opinions of the State Council on Accelerating the Development of the Sports Industry and Promoting Sports Consumption"(Guo Ban Fa [2014] No.44)and the "Guiding Opinions of the State Council General Office on Accelerating the Development of Sports and Leisure Activities"(Guo Ban Fa [2016] No.77),sports have gradually gained an increasingly important position in China’s social development,and many cities have begun to prioritize the role of sports in enhancing urban prosperity,promoting urban renewal and shaping urban image.Among them,in December 2017,Chengdu put forward the goal of building a world-famous cultural and creative city,a famous tourism city,a famous sports city,an international gastronomic capital,a music city,and a conference and exhibition city,and since then,Chengdu has issued a series of policies to support the construction of a world-famous sports city,which also represents that building a famous sports city is Chengdu’s mission and task at this stage.Based on system theory,sustainable development theory and external influence theory,this study uses literature method,case analysis method,expert interview method and comparative analysis method to study sports events,sports event system,sports event index system and famous sports cities at home and abroad.The whole text is composed of 7 chapters divided into 5 parts,the first part is chapters 1-2,including the basis for the selection of the research topic,the significance of the study,research ideas and methods,literature review and research theoretical basis;the second part is chapter3,which analyzes and explores the current situation of Chengdu’s sports event system;the third part is chapter 4,which summarizes the development experience of world famous sports cities in London and New York through case analysis and provides a reference for Chengdu to further improve its sports event system.The fourth part is Chapter 5,which presents,through a comparative analysis,the shortcomings and dilemmas in building a world-class city sports system in Chengdu.The fifth part consists of chapters 6 to 7,which propose strategies for solutions and conclusions.The specific content of the study focuses on the following aspects:(1)Mainly from the current situation of policy support,the condition of sporting events and the construction of infrastructure to support sporting events,Chengdu has carried out research on the current situation of the event system of the world sports city,since the construction goal of the world sports city was proposed,Chengdu has issued a series of policies to ensure the construction of the famous sports city,and also began to actively introduce and create various sports events,the construction of the famous sports city in Chengdu took the preparation of the Universiade as an opportunity to improve Chengdu’s sports infrastructure to a certain extent;(2)By combing and summarizing the event systems in London and New York,it is concluded that they both have rich experience in holding large-scale sports events,developed professional sports in China,complete event organization system and a deep foundation of mass sports,providing reference for the continuous improvement of Chengdu’s event system;(3)Through comparative research,the dilemma of the construction of Chengdu’s sports event system is proposed.With the increasing importance of sports in the process of China’s development,some cities in China have achieved their targets for opening gyms,while the resources of large-scale sports events are limited,and the number of people currently settled in Chengdu is small,in addition,there is still a gap in the supply of public sports facilities and stadiums that can host higher energy levels,the development pattern of sports event agglomeration needs to be deepened,and there is still a problem that government organizations dominate and other social organizations do not participate in high in the organization of sports events;(4)According to the current situation of Chengdu and the study of foreign sports cities,the following strategies are proposed for the optimization of Chengdu’s sports event system:(1)excavate Chengdu’s characteristic sports culture and become a differentiated sports city in Chengdu.(2)enrich the supply of sports events,and the sports event system needs rich and colorful sports event support.(3)improve sports infrastructure,perfect supporting facilities can provide a strong guarantee for the introduction of events.(4)promote the development of event agglomeration,can improve the utilization rate of event resources,and enhance the competitiveness of the city.(5)improve the event organization system,A sound event organization system is conducive to the sustainable development of sports cities.
