| Cheng Dengke was a famous sports thinker and activist in modern China,and was the first advocate of national sports thought in the 1930 s.Throughout his life,he devoted himself to the study of the theory of national sports thought and practical exploration,publishing more than eighty papers and twenty books.His "Supplementary Textbook of Wartime Sports" was used as a textbook,and his "Outline of the History of World Sports" strongly proved the need for militarization of sports and sought to serve national defense.His ideas on national sports had great influence at that time,especially during the War of Resistance against Japan as the theoretical basis of "wartime sports".In the light of the historical background of the time,it is of great theoretical significance and practical value to explore Cheng Dengke’s national sports thought in a comprehensive and in-depth manner,to reflect on the current situation of sports in the present day,and to find out the value of sports thought that can be useful for the current and future development.This study takes "Cheng Dengke’s national sports thought" as the research object,mainly based on two dimensions of his relevant writings and practical activities,and uses documentary,historical and comparative methods to analyze,condense and summarize his relevant writings and practical contents,so as to explore the historical connotation and value impact of his national sports thought.and value impact.The results of the study are as follows.Cheng Dengke’s thought on national sports has been gradually perfected under the combined influence of his troubled background,systematic education experience and specific sports practice,The combined influence of Cheng Dengke’s troubled background,systematic educational experience,and concrete sports practice contributed to the gradual improvement of his thinking on national sports.The main contents of his thought on national sports include four main elements: the thought of militarization of sports,the thought of military sports,the thought of national sports,and the thought of sports for all.and has three characteristics:periodization,localization and living.The development of Cheng Dengke’s idea of national sports has gone through four stages,namely the germination period,the initial formation period,the development and maturity period,and the practical application period.Germination period: In the 1920 s and 1930 s,Cheng Dengke was influenced by Liu Boying,the president of the Chinese Sports College in Suzhou,the graduates of the Army University in the United States and the chief instructor of the Central University,and the German system of national sports and militarization of sports during his study abroad,which led to the development of his national sports ideas.Initial Formation Period(1935-1936): During this period,he formally put forward the idea of militarization of sports through the publication of two articles,"The Current Situation of Sports in Germany" and "How to Use the Rights of the Military and Police to Assist the People’s Sports to Make Sports for All",and combined with the practical activities of sports;and later,through the publication of the article "Should We Promote National Sports in China",he put forward the idea of "militarization of sports" further.Later,through the publication of the article "Should We Promote National Sports in China",the idea of "militarization of sports" was further developed into "national sports".Development and Maturity Period(1937-1949): During this period,through the publication of articles such as "The Goal of Reviving National Sports" and "Creating National Sports",and his understanding of the goal of sports in the light of his position after the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War,he proposed the goal of "ten-chemistic" sports.The idea of national sports matured and was continuously applied in practice.By analyzing Cheng Dengke’s national sports thought,this study concludes that its influence:(a)has a profound impact on the development of sports disciplines in China.This study digs deeper and explores the background,content,development history and characteristics of Cheng Dengke’s national sports thought,which can reflect the development and evolution of sports in China before and after the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression,and is conducive to further understanding of the development of modern sports thought in China.(2)The value to the development of sports in China The combing of sports ideas is conducive to telling sports stories and spreading sports culture;it has reference and reference value for school youth to carry out sports courses,and is conducive to their establishment of correct sports views and values. |
