| Recent years, primary and secondary school are in pursuit of enrollment rate, causing the school's physical education or sports shrink to give way to cultural programs. Although the situation is improving because of advocates of quality education, the result was not satisfactory. The physical education is just spread among the people in primary and secondary schools, and there's still some way to go to improve the physical quality of primary and secondary students. According to the survey, the primary school students' physical and athletic ability is in a downward trend for many years, the decline in students' physical development will not only create an adverse impact on students' growth, but will also directly affect the quality of development and the quality of personnel training. Therefore, it is essential for improving the physical fitness of young people, developing the good habit of lifelong physical training and a new generation of comprehensive development. Therefore, just popularizing physical education is not enough, more important thing is to improve the school teaching much further on the basis of the popularity of sports. In this way can it really help to reach the goal of strengthen the youth physically.In this context,45 schools in Xi'an City were selected as a new object of study in the paper, including the normal commencement rate of physical education, implementation of curriculum, teaching staff, facilities, sports equipment, teaching status, and after-school sports training, hoping to get informed of the status of popularity of sports in new urban schools in order to teaching the to explore the basis of how popular a further increase to explore a way further development. It's also assigned to provide evidence of the shortcomings in current physical education. By analyzing the present situation, proposing specifications and recommendations of practical measures to make school sports popularized and improve, and match the principles of combination of popularization and improvement, so as to promote the reform and meet the demands of requirements of school physical education.The result of the research:1.The physical education class in Xincheng Primary and secondary schools are in good condition which they can carry out the teaching of《the syllabus of athletics and health》basically.The P.E. teachers all tends towards reluvenation.the gender structure is not that rational. There're fewer teachers who acquires the senior academic title.2.The site conditions of schools are not that ideal, there're also 75% schools among the whole district who still teaches in the poorly-equipped playground and the school of 55% has the track and field playground with an perimeter no more than two hundred meters.3.The input of school sports expenditure is insufficient which the school of 55% only accounts for 1%-2% of the total expenditure. It's quite difficult to satisfy the need of the sports teaching and extra-curricular activities.4.Because of the insufficient knowledge of vocational work, scarcity of the equipment and other factors.There are which existing the "set-free-class", the results of the teaching is not that ideal.The launch of the healthy sports activities in primary and secondary schools in Xincheng district are average.5.The student who can take part in the extra-curricular activities on a high frequency accounts for 84%,but there only accounts for 53% in which schools can guarantee an hour.There are twenty two sports traditional events school in primary and secondary schools in Xincheng district. |
