Research On The Development Of Swimming Events In Chengdu Under The Background Of Famous Cities

In the context ofbeing a city ofevents,the city has a strong event scene and events are being held in full swing.Under the influence of the construction of the famous event city,the development of swimming events in Chengdu has been brought about by the development of opportunities,and the types,numbers,participants and venues of swimming events have been significantly optimised.This study takes the development of swimming events in Chengdu as the research object,and uses literature,questionnaires,expert interviews,mathematical statistics and SWOT-AHP analysis to investigate the basic situation of the development of swimming events in Chengdu,and then compares and analyses the development of swimming events with other events in Chengdu,and finally uses SWOT analysis to analyse the internal strengths and weaknesses,and external opportunities and weaknesses of the development of swimming events in Chengdu.The SWOT-AHP model is combined with the hierarchical analysis method to calculate the quadrant of gravity for the development of events and to determine the type of strategies for the development of swimming events in Chengdu.The following conclusions were drawn.(1)The enthusiasm for participation in swimming events in Chengdu is high and the atmosphere of the events is strong.The events are well organised and have a good competition system.The funding source is fixed and the promotion channels are traditional.The judges are composed of university teachers,students and sports-related professionals,and the team is young and energetic.(2)In the context of the construction of a famous event city,more large-scale events are located in Chengdu,promoting both economic and event development in Chengdu.The major individual events include football,tennis and table tennis,and there are no individual swimming events held in Chengdu.Comprehensive events include the World Police and Firefighter Games and the World University Games.In terms of the number of provincial and municipal events held,there is no major difference between swimming events and other events.(3)The strengths of Chengdu’s swimming events are: high enthusiasm for participation and wide coverage;abundant venue resources and perfect facilities;stable event cycle;reasonable grouping of events;the weaknesses of Chengdu’s swimming events are: not many high-level events,insufficient overall influence;lack of local brand events,cultural and regional characteristics are not prominent;low level of marketisation and low integration of the event industry;weak promotion of events;weak promotion of events;low integration of the event industry.The opportunities for the development of swimming events in Chengdu are: relevant national sports policies;relevant policies in Chengdu;development of information technology;high level of economic development;challenges for the development of swimming events in Chengdu are: competition from other sports;event composite talents;event IP effect.(4)According to the SWOT-AHP model,the focus of the event development is in the first quadrant,and the development strategy of Chengdu swimming events is determined as(SO)pioneering development strategy,which should make use of its own advantages and grasp external opportunities in the event development.Based on the current situation and the results of the SWOT-AHP model,the following development strategies are proposed.(1)Take the construction of a famous event city as an opportunity to enhance the number of events and build event brands.(1)Use the construction of a famous city as an opportunity to increase the number of events and build a brand.At the same time,we will continue to introduce high-level events by taking advantage of the hardware.Finally,we will strengthen the construction of our own IP and build local brand events.(2)Broaden the path of market-oriented development with policy support.This includes actively fostering the concept of market development and diversifying the subjects of the tournament.(3)To attract sponsorship to expand the scale of the event based on economic development.(4)To develop information technology as a guarantee,and vigorously develop the new industry of "Internet + swimming".(5)Cultivate high quality competition teams by taking talent training as a breakthrough.While insisting on the combination of improving quantity and quality,building a high-level and large-scale referee team,actively introducing and nurturing composite talents for swimming events.
