| Functional training is one of the theories that have attracted much attention in the field of sports training in China in recent years. This training method is currently widely used in sports teams of various levels and events in China, such as the Tianjin Tennis Team and the Tianjin Badminton Team;Through practical research,it can be confirmed that functional training can effectively promote athletes’ specific physical fitness, technical level, and reduce the probability of injury; However, given the limited opportunities for functional training to be combined with specialized courses in sports colleges, experimental research is relatively scarce compared to its research results in the field of competitive sports; In addition, considering that special courses in sports colleges often overemphasize the development of students’ technical skills, which leads to the neglect of students’ physical fitness, and that over the years, physical fitness training in special classes is often dominated by traditional physical fitness training theories, which are not closely related to the development of special athletic abilities, and the training philosophy needs to be updated. Therefore, this article will explore the impact of functional training on the forehand and backhand stroke ability of tennis majors in sports colleges using literature, expert interviews, experimental methods, and mathematical statistics as research methods. This article takes 28 male students from the 2019 social sports professional tennis special class of Tianjin Institute of Physical Education as the experimental subjects, and divides them into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group receives 14 weeks of functional training and specialized technical training, while the control group receives 14 weeks of traditional physical training and specialized technical training. Before the experiment starts, conduct the front side of the experiment, including the body shape of the two groups of students,FMS,hit depth, hit accuracy, and hit speed. After 14 weeks of training, the two groups were tested on the depth of hit points, accuracy of hit points, and speed of hit;By comparing the data measured before and after the experiment with the longitudinal comparison within the group and the lateral comparison between the groups, the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)The functional training group and the traditional training group have significantly improved the depth, accuracy, and speed of forehand and backhand strokes before and after the experiment, indicating that both functional training combined with tennis specific techniques and traditional mode training combined with tennis specific techniques can promote the improvement of tennis specific students’ forehand and backhand stroke ability.(2)Functional training can significantly promote the accuracy, depth, and speed of forward and reverse hand strokes; However, traditional training methods can only significantly promote the improvement of backhand stroke ability and forehand stroke depth, indicating that functional training is more effective in improving backhand stroke ability compared to traditional training methods.(3)After the experiment, there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in both the forehand and backhand hitting abilities.Except for the significant differences in the backhand hitting accuracy and the backhand hitting depth, other items showed significant differences, indicating that functional training was superior to traditional training modes in promoting the forehand and backhand hitting abilities of tennis majors. |
