The New Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education Mathematics(2022 Edition)was promulgated on April 21,2022,and it represents an important change in the direction of mathematics teaching and learning.Among them,developing students’ core literacy runs through the text of the mathematics standard and is implied in the curriculum content and teaching practice.Problem string teaching fully reflects the main role of students,facilitates the highlighting of problem orientation and the creation of contexts conducive to the development of core literacy in mathematics;facilitates the highlighting of the main line of problems and the handling of the relationship between teaching content and core literacy in mathematics.This study elaborates the theory of problem string teaching,investigates the current situation of problem string teaching in elementary school mathematics,analyzes the problems and causes of problem string teaching in elementary school mathematics,and then designs specific teaching cases for implementation in order to provide strategies to cope with the current problems of problem string teaching in elementary school mathematics.The first part of the introduction introduces the origin,purpose and significance of the study.Through combing the current situation of domestic and foreign research,the development of problem string teaching is understood,and the research ideas and research methods are elaborated.The second part conducts a questionnaire survey on teachers and students in an elementary school in Luoyang City and analyzes the findings.The teachers’ questionnaire was developed from the following six dimensions: awareness of problem string theory,awareness of the value of problem string,problem string design,problem string application,evaluation of the effectiveness of problem string teaching,and difficulties in problem string design.The student questionnaire was developed from the following six dimensions: attitude toward problem strings,ways of solving problems,answering questions,attitude toward inquiry after class,preferred learning style,and confidence in learning mathematics well.The third part analyzes the current situation of problem string teaching,summarizes the existing problems and analyzes the causes of the problems.The problems are as follows: the application of problem string teaching is biased;students’ problem string inquiry is not sufficiently autonomous;the theory of problem string teaching is vaguely understood;the process of problem string teaching lacks reflectivity and the goal of problem string teaching lacks clarity.The causes of the problems are as follows: teachers have different teaching styles for problem string teaching;teachers lack depth in the analysis of problem string problems;teachers have a weak theoretical foundation for problem string teaching;teachers’ awareness of reflective problem string teaching is slightly lacking;teachers do not dig enough into the analysis of problem string teaching materials.The fourth part writes about the exploration of problem string teaching design in elementary school mathematics.It includes three parts: design basis,design principles and design ideas.Combined with the requirements of the new curriculum,the design of problem strings is carried out for typical class cases.First,analyze the curriculum standards,unit teaching objectives,teaching contents,lesson teaching objectives,teaching priorities and students’ learning situations.Secondly,analyze the design principles.Finally,the design ideas of the problem strings are presented.The fifth part is a case study of the implementation of problem string teaching in elementary school mathematics and evaluation of its effectiveness.After designing the problem string of "Area of Parallelogram",teaching implementation is carried out,implementation results are obtained,teaching effects are analyzed,and teaching reflections are made.Part VI proposes strategies to respond to the current problems in the application of problem strings in elementary school mathematics.The response strategies are as follows:correctly view the importance of problem string teaching,deepen the development of teachers’ problem awareness;deeply analyze and interpret the problem strings of mathematics textbooks,strengthen the cultivation of students’ cognitive interests;hold lectures and training related to mathematics problem strings,dig deeper into the theory of mathematics problem strings;establish the concept of lifelong learning of mathematics problems,quantify the accumulation of their own reflective consciousness;set up pre-study sheets of mathematics problem strings,optimize the learning situation of mathematics problems The new curriculum...
