A Qualitative Study Of The Value Implication Of Yiquan Life

The development of sports in the new era requires the promotion and implementation of strategies such as a strong sporting nation,healthy china and cultural power.The core of martial arts Yiquan is that Yiquan is different from other sports in that it is responsible for the inheritance of Chinese martial arts skills and the dissemination of Chinese culture.Therefore,this study attempts to find out what kind of opportunities make the inheritors take the path of Yiquan life,and what causes the inheritors to be determined to inherit,and what are the values of the life of the inheritors who have practiced Yiquan for more than twenty years?Based on this,this study uses the oral history research method to conduct oral interviews with twelve inheritors of Yiquan in four parts: opportunities,turning points,interests,and essence of Yiquan life,in order to obtain detailed information about the life history of the inheritors,and then use the life history research paradigm to sort out and analyze their Yiquan life,so as to obtain the value of Yiquan life.The flavor of the life of a Yiquan inheritor.The study will help people to understand the paths and methods of learning Yiquan,to appreciate the value of the life of Yiquan,and to appreciate the unique charm of Yiquan culture.The results of the study show that,first,the opportunities in the life of the inheritors of Yiquan are composed of three factors: social environment,family environment,and personal love;second,the improvement of physical quality,fulfilling emotional experience,recognition of the philosophy of Yiquan,and the help of important people contribute to the inheritors’ persistence in Yiquan;third,the fun of practicing Yiquan lies in four aspects: practicing martial arts for fitness,using martial arts for self-defense,practicing martial arts for spirituality,and researching martial arts for Fourthly,the life of the inheritors of Yiquan is based on their heartfelt love,their daily pursuit of "selfdiscipline through martial arts" and "endlessness in the pursuit of meaning",and their sense of mission to inherit the excellent Chinese traditional culture.Based on the above findings,this study proposes recommendations in terms of social environment,family environment,personal passion,promotion of Yiquan culture,and spiritual connotation to keep up with the times.
