Meihua Quan is one of the traditional Chinese martial arts.In the modern North China rural community,this folk boxing which is rooted in native areas continues to influence the populace's self-governing lifestyles in rural areas like Hebei,Shandong and Henan Province.For a long time,it prevailed in the rural Meihuaquan organization in Beiyang Village area of Guangzong County,southern Hebei Province.It features the typical operating characteristics of male association and mutual aid and autonomy,and has shaped the local cultural landscape with distinct features in the village community.The folk art,represented by the village Meihua Quan,runs through people's daily life,behind which there is a deep logic of local autonomy and a distinctive traditional tension.This article mainly consists of three parts,which is introduction,the text of four chapters and conclusion.The introduction elaborates the origin and significance of this study,and reviews the research achievements of folk self-government,village organization and Meihua Quan at home and abroad,and also explains some of the key local sayings.Chapter one introduces the complete picture of the village life landscape which selected by the field case.Mainly from the perspective of regional geography,village history,family organization and people's daily life and other perspectives of Beiyang Villagers "panoramic" deep description,in order to enhance the overall awareness of the local people's daily life style.Chapter two combs the history and inheritance of Meihua Quan in Beiyang Village,focusing on the discussion of the origin,dissemination,"Shi Yuan" structure,"quasi-kin" organization and enlightenment of civilized martial arts.Starting from the internal perspective of people's daily life,this paper analyzes the formation mechanism and development road of rural Meihua Quan groups in rural society.Chapter three focuses on the logic of the local autonomy of Meihua Quan.The villagers took advantage of many ways such as "Wen Chang Li Jia",Spreding martial arts and narratives to participate in the village public life.This not only highlights the power of self-determination,but also builds a foundation for self-government,which shapes the unique local autonomy of Meihua Quan.The "Jia Gu Song Bin" formed within the Beiyang Village customs and the concept of community commonplace,but also played as the key support of long-term self-sustaining operation for the rural Meihua Quan organization.Chapter four discusses the deep-seated autonomy practice of Meihua Quan from two dimensions of "sacred" and "secret".First,we discuss the structure of the sacred narrative with the anecdotal evidence of the Meihua Quan circulating in the village and the examples of "spiritual" faith.Followed by the "Pusa Hui" faith and ritual activities in Beiyang Village,the reconstruction of the village temple views as an example to explore the border division of self-government and the rural Meihua Quan organization balancing of power between "Wen and Wu" issues.The Conclusion focuses on the meaning link of Meihua Quan and village autonomous life.This paper analyzes how Meihua Quan influences village self-government life,combs the interactive structure of Meihua Quan and village autonomous life.Also discusses the Construction of the artistic style of Meihua Quan and village cultural tradition.
