| The sense of quantity helps pupils understand the concept of quantity,experience the size of quantity,strengthen the perception of quantity,and improve pupils’ ability to estimate quantity.Based on this,this study uses literature research method,questionnaire method and interview method to understand the sense of quantity of sixth grade students.Based on the analysis of error types of test questions,the paper puts forward some suggestions on the cultivation of quantity sense in classroom teaching.Specifically,this paper intends to study the level of sense of quantity of sixth grade students in primary school and the difference in the perception of length,area and volume units of sixth grade students,as well as the difference in the performance of four abilities of sense of quantity cognition,sense of quantity estimation,sense of quantity operation and sense of quantity application.The results show that the overall level of the sixth grade students’ sense of quantity is average.Some students have a good intuitive perception of measurable attributes and size relationships of real things.According to the results of different unit sense test,the sixth grade students have a better understanding of the meaning of length unit,but a lower understanding of area unit and volume unit.From the test results of four dimensions,the students’ sense of quantity cognition level is the highest.However,the ability to estimate and apply the sense of quantity is weak.In addition,according to the analysis of the students’ answer papers,it is found that the students mainly have five problems: the basic concept formula is not clear,the system between units is confused,the unit of measurement matches is not reasonable,the estimation error is large,the examination question is not careful.On the basis of data analysis,this study puts forward the following suggestions for cultivating students’ sense of quantity in primary school mathematics teaching: Teachers should pay attention to guiding students to deepen their understanding of the essential attributes from multiple perspectives in teaching,and help students to deeply understand the relationship between progress and rate with the help of practical operation of teaching AIDS.Practice activities should be carried out in class to encourage students to establish quantity sense through personal experience and feeling.In addition,teachers should emphasize students’ awareness of standardized answers in normal teaching. |
