With the continuous development of science and technology,society has posed a great challenge to the demand for talents.How to cultivate a well-rounded person through subjects has become the main theme in the basic education reform.The physics curriculum standards for compulsory education promulgated in 2022 put forward the new curriculum concept of "facing all students and cultivating students’ core literacy".As an important part of the course teaching process,assignments are effective in helping students to deeply understand what they have learned,consolidating knowledge and skills,providing feedback on teaching effectiveness,developing core literacy and ultimately cultivating a well-rounded person.However,under the background of exam-oriented education,the current situation of assignment was worrying,students’ assignment was generally too much and overburdened,and teachers’ design of assignment was more arbitrary,resulting in poor quality of assignment.Happily,the Ministry of Education is concerned about the current situation of assignment and issued a "double reduction" policy in 2021,which calls for improving the quality of assignment,reducing the total amount and length of assignment,and reducing the excessive burden of students.This has led to the teaching reform of assignment becoming a hot issue in compulsory education in recent years.Therefore,the author took "Electricity" in junior high school physics teaching content as an example,and carried out an in-depth practical study on assignment design.This study is divided into four main parts.First,the basic theories related to assignment are summarized and sorted out,such as the theory of the zone of proximal development,multiple intelligences theory,constructivism education theory,and solo classification theory,in order to clarify the basic ideas of assignment design and optimization.Secondly,questionnaires and interviews were used to investigate and analyze the current status of implementation of physics assignment in junior high school.Specifically,SPSS and AMOS software were used to test the validity of the questionnaire data with the Clonal Bach reliability test,exploratory factor and confirmatory factor analysis methods.The results of the study show that the drawbacks of physics assignment in junior high school in current are mainly manifested in the following points:assignment design is not given enough attention,students are not interested in learning physics,and there is a lack of variety in the form of assignments.Thirdly,taking "Electricity" in junior high school physics teaching content as an example,the author designed pre-reading and consolidation assignments respectively,and proposed strategies for assignments optimization design.In addition,personalized assignments are designed to further enhance students’ core literacy.The personalized assignments include interdisciplinary assignments,experimental inquiry assignments,and knowledge expansion assignments.Finally,strategies for evaluating assignments are proposed in order to fully utilize the efficacy of assignments and develop subject core literacy.The study gives strategies to optimize assignment design,enriches and expands assignment design ideas,helps develop students’ practical,inquiry and innovation abilities,transforms students’ learning attitudes,greatly stimulates students’ interest in learning physics,and achieves the goal of cultivating students’ core literacy.The study provides reference for the subsequent teaching reform of optimized assignment design.
