Our country has been attaching importance to family education and advocating the parents to set up scientific educational concepts.On July 24,2021,the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and The General Office of the State Council issued the Opinions on Further Reducing the Homework Burden and Off-campus Training Burden of Students in Compulsory Education(hereinafter referred to as the "double reduction" policy).The "double reduction" policy focuses on reducing students’ heavy homework burden,improving the quality of education and teaching,standardizing after-school training behavior and so on.It mentions that parents should be guided to set up correct educational concepts,view children’s growth rationally,communicate with children actively,and pay attention to children’s psychological emotions.The "double reduction" policy affects education,out-of-school training institutions and parents’ education of their children.This study investigates the parents’ educational ideas of junior high school students under the background of "double reduction" policy.Literature research,questionnaire and interview survey were used in this study.Through literature review and analysis of researchers on the concept of parental education and family education under the background of "double reduction",the "double reduction" policy,educational concept,parental education concept and other concepts are defined,with Marx’s theory of human all-round development,multiple intelligence theory,family system theory as the theoretical basis of this paper.Parents of junior high school students in N City,Jiangsu Province were given questionnaires and interviewed,and junior high school students were interviewed.From the perspectives of talent view,parent-child view,child view and development view,this paper investigates the parents’ educational concept of junior high school students to understand the current situation of parents’ educational concept of junior high school students under the background of "double reduction".In the research,it is found that after the implementation of the "double reduction" policy,the parents’ educational concepts of junior high school students have some updates,but also some aspects have not changed.The updates include: giving guidance to their children’s life,accompanying them through difficulties together,parents of junior high school students are more democratic,parents of junior high school students fulfill the responsibility of family education,and their children develop independently.The parents of junior high school students have not updated their ideas on education,which include: single approach to their children’s success,high educational requirements for their children,close relationship with their children,and full respect for their children.There are still some problems in the unupdated place,one is the single way to look at children’s success;Second,the children’s educational requirements are high.From the "double reduction" policy,parents,schools and society four aspects of the factors that affect parents’ education concept.In view of the problems existing in the education concept of junior high school parents,the optimization strategy is proposed.It is not easy to improve the educational concept of parents of junior high school students,which requires the concerted efforts of parents,schools,society and the government.Parents,need to learn family education knowledge,establish a scientific view of parenting,rational view of children’s success.Schools need to spread the correct educational concept,implement the "double reduction" policy to promote the all-round development of students,and help the parents of junior high school students change their educational concept.In the social aspect,the media should publicize the correct educational concept and create the atmosphere of diversified evaluation.As for the government,it is necessary for the government to provide family education learning ways and promote the high-quality development of vocational education.
