The current social environment is constantly changing,and the knowledge background is constantly updating.Digital technology has become the leading force driving the thinking and operating modes of human society,providing us with significant opportunities for innovative development and new challenges.Education is undoubtedly an important way to respond to crisis challenges.In this context,the introduction of the Information Technology Curriculum Standards(2022)has gradually transformed the knowledge and skills orientation of traditional courses into literacy orientation.In the digital era,teachers urgently need to improve their digital teaching ability to cultivate students’ digital learning ability.However,traditional information technology classroom teaching still has problems such as "lack of cultivation of students’ autonomous exploration and collaborative learning abilities,scattered learning resources for students,and inconvenient classroom management for teachers.".Scaffolding teaching is a teaching mode that helps learners internalize knowledge by constructing learning scaffolding,designing learning links,and providing learning situations.It guides students to conduct independent exploration and collaborative learning through learning scaffolding based on students’ "nearest development zone".With the improvement of students’ ability,the learning scaffolding will be gradually removed.The LearnSite information technology learning platform can integrate multiple learning scaffolds,support students to create in a digital online learning environment,and facilitate the implementation of scaffolding based teaching models.This study attempts to introduce the scaffolding teaching model based on the LearnSite platform into the information technology classroom in primary schools,with a view to improving the existing information technology teaching model and achieving the cultivation of students’ information literacy and ability through the characteristics of the LearnSite platform and scaffolding teaching.First of all,I reviewed a large number of literature to sort out and analyze scaffolding teaching,learning scaffolding,and related theoretical foundations,as well as previous research.Secondly,a questionnaire survey was conducted on the current situation of information technology learning among primary school students,and it was found that there were problems such as "low participation in the classroom,significant differences in learning levels,and a desire for new knowledge among students";Interviews with information technology teachers found problems such as "difficulty in practicing new textbooks,lack of cooperative exploration in classroom activities,and inconvenience in classroom management.".Then,it discusses the necessity of implementing scaffolding teaching based on the LearnSite platform in primary school information technology courses from three aspects: the requirements of the new curriculum standards,the requirements of students’ hierarchical learning,and the advantages of the LearnSite platform.It then designs a scaffolding teaching model for primary school information technology courses based on the LearnSite platform,and develops teaching cases.Finally,the quasi-experimental research method was used to conduct a semester of teaching experiments in the fifth grade information technology classroom,including the comparative experiment of scaffolding teaching mode and traditional teaching mode and the single group time series quasi experiment of scaffolding teaching.The data collected during the experiment,including the pre and post test data of the learning achievement,autonomous exploration ability questionnaire and collaborative learning ability questionnaire,were analyzed by independent sample T test,And analyze the teaching effectiveness by combining real-time classroom data from the LearnSite platform.Through the analysis of teaching experiments,the results denotes that scaffolding teaching based on the LearnSite platform can not only effectively improve students’ academic record and learning efficiency,but improve cultivating students’ autonomous and collaborative learning abilities.Moreover,the scaffolding teaching method establish a new type of harmonious teacher-student relationship.This study has guiding significance for improving the quality of information technology classroom teaching and student learning outcomes,and is expected to provide teaching cases and reference values for front-line information technology teachers to carry out scaffolding teaching practices.
