In this information age of media integration,transmedia reading and communication,as one of the learning task groups proposed in the Chinese curriculum standard of senior high school(2017,revised in 2020),has gradually occupied a more important seat upon the structure of Chinese curriculum in senior high school,and become an important curriculum content of Chinese subject teaching under the new curriculum standard.Although the curriculum standard not only clarifies the learning objectives but also provides teaching tips,in fact transmedia reading and communication has always been a difficult point in the implementation of teaching.Due to various factors,teachers often have insufficient understanding of the connotation and characteristics of transmedia reading and communication,which tend to vacillate in the surface form,and it is difficult to touch the core knowledge,leading to the poor teaching effect.Inspired by the cutting-edge perspective,the author believes that project-based learning(PBL)provides new ideas and ways for the effective teaching of transmedia reading and communication.Based on the framework of Dr.Xia Xuemei’s PBL design,combined with communication studies and education of Chinese teaching,this study attempts to construct a PBL design of transmedia reading and communication by clarifying core knowledge,raising essential questions,clarifying cognitive strategies,designing learning practice,making products and evaluating the whole process,and making specific explanations by the way.It is expected to provide new cases for the specific exploration and practice of PBL in the subject area,and provide some reference for Chinese teachers in the teaching implementation of the learning task group called transmedia reading and communication.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the reason,research content,significance,literature review,concept definition and methods of this study.The second chapter is about the investigation of the current situation of teaching.This article mainly uses questionnaire survey and interview to analyze and explain the current situation and some problems of teaching and learning about this curriculum.The third chapter analyzes the basis of applying PBL to transmedia reading and communication.First,facing the reality,based on the collation of literature,the theoretical basis is cited to explain the design dimensions and characteristics of PBL.Second,anchor the key elements of curriculum standard,and demonstrate the full response of PBL to the new standard with the three key elements of the Chinese curriculum standard of senior high school as the starting point.Thirdly,it discusses the practical value.According to the research conclusion,it mainly discusses the important value of PBL in solving the current problems from the some aspects,explains the unique role of PBL in cultivating students’ transmedia language use,and expounds the relevance of PBL.The fourth chapter is the teaching design of transmedia reading and communication based on PBL.Relying on Dr.Xia Xuemei’s PBL design framework,aiming at the goal,by clarifying the core knowledge,raising essential questions,clarifying cognitive strategies,designing learning practice,publicizing results and evaluating the whole process,a PBL design of transmedia reading and communication is constructed and explained in detail,and samples are presented by forms.
