In 2018,the Ministry of Education issued the "General High School Physics Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)",which integrates the three dimensional goals of knowledge and skills, processes and methods, emotional attitudes and values, and proposes a new core competence of physics subject. After proposing the core competence,it is necessary to consider teaching strategies from the perspective of how to improve students’ core competence.Among them, mechanics content plays an important role in the cultivation and examination of core competence in physics.Through research on relevant literature about core competence and teaching strategies,as well as a survey of the current situation of high school students’ core competence in physics, this article proposes teaching strategies based on core competence, and carries out teaching practice of mechanical knowledge under the guidance of these teaching strategies. Finally,it evaluates the teaching strategies based on core competence. This article is expanded through six chapters:Chapter 1 is the introduction. It introduces the research background, research purpose and significance, research methods and ideas. The study uses literature research method, case study method, interview method, questionnaire method, and data analysis method, among which literature research method and case study method are the major ones.Chapter 2 is a literature review. The study found that in the study of core competence, countries emphasize the importance of putting people first when formulating core competence, and all of them are based on their national conditions. In the research of teaching strategies, there is no unified standard definition of teaching strategies at this stage, and the teaching strategies referred to in the research are mostly the media between educational theory and teaching practice. In the context of core competence, research on teaching strategies has received high attention and enthusiasm, especially in experimental teaching. However, research often stops at proposing teaching strategies and often elaborates design concepts without specific implementation cases. There is very little research on the combination of teaching strategies and mechanics teaching practices, and even less research is conducted from the perspective of core competence.Chapter 3 is a research on teaching strategies based on core competence.Due to the fact that "scientific inquiry" is mainly reflected in experimental courses and there has been a large amount of research, this article only focuses on the aspects of "physical concepts","scientific thinking",and "scientific attitudes and responsibilities" for non-experimental teaching. The author conducted a questionnaire survey on 368 students in seven classes, collected 341 valid questionnaires, and conducted in depth interviews with four students. It is found that in terms of physical concepts, students develop a learning habit of passively accepting knowledge, making their understanding of physics stay a t the level of knowledge points, without refining and sublimating physical concepts and laws;In scientific thinking, students attach more importance to declarative knowledge while ignoring methodological knowledge.Solving physical problems often relies on repetitive exercises, which causes students to be unable to improve their abilities of model building, scientific reasoning and scientific demonstration; In terms of scientific attitude and responsibility, although students are not exclusive, they do not want to occupy more time and energy to cultivate scientific attitude and responsibility. In the face of this situation, the author proposes teaching strategies of independently constructing knowledge systems based on constructivist learning theory in terms of physical concepts, teaching strategies of imparting methodological knowledge based on procedural knowledge theory in terms of scientific thinking, and teaching strategies of emphasizing reading tasks in terms of scientific attitudes and responsibilities.Chapter 4 is a research on mechanics teaching strategies based on core competence. The author takes "The Relationship between Motion and Force" as the carrier, and carries out teaching design based on the teaching strategy of autonomous construction of knowledge system which is combined with constructivist learning theory in terms of physical concepts, the teaching strategy of imparting methodological knowledge in terms of scientific thinking, and the teaching strategy of emphasizing reading tasks in terms of scientific attitude and responsibility.Chapter 5 is about the teaching practice and effect evaluation of mechanics. After completing the teaching design, the author conducted teaching experiments in two classes with similar learning situations to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching strategies. It is found that the teaching design based on teaching strategies of core competence can improve students’ ability to solve moderately difficult and simple difficult problems, improve students’ listening efficiency and enthusiasm for completing homework, and have a significant effect on cultivating students’ core competence.Chapter 6 is the conclusion and outlook. The author summarizes the achievements and shortcomings of this study. In this study, the teaching strategies based on core competence have good effects on high school mechanics teaching, but there is no research on the teaching strategies of scientific inquiry and related experimental courses. In the future, the author will conduct research on experimental courses, continue to explore new teaching strategies and strive to form a more scientific strategy system.
