| Physics is a subject based on observation and experiment.Experiment is not only the basis of physics teaching,but also an important content of physics teaching,and also an important method and means.Traditional experimental teaching mostly uses standardized equipment in laboratories,conventional experimental teaching methods are relatively simple,verification experiments account for a large proportion,and design experiments are few.Students only need to "follow the steed" to complete experiments,which is difficult to meet the requirements of core literacy training in the new era,and experimental teaching cannot be extended deeply,continuously and innovatively.In 2022,the Ministry of Education promulgated the Physics Curriculum Standards for Junior Middle Schools(2022 Edition),which put forward the core literacy of physics,including four dimensions of physical concept,scientific thinking,scientific inquiry,scientific attitude and responsibility.Life physics experiment is an effective teaching method to cultivate the dimension of scientific inquiry in students’ core accomplishment.If physics experiments can be made into daily life,students can find the shadow of physical experiments in life,and even develop some physical experiments in daily life and apply them in teaching.Students are more likely to find the sense of achievement in learning physics,master the physics knowledge behind the experiments,connect the theory with the reality of life,and implement physics from life.It also serves the idea of life,which helps to make up for the deficiency of traditional experimental teaching.Based on my own practical teaching experience,the author conducted a practical research on the cultivation of students’ scientific inquiry literacy in junior physics teaching through life-oriented experiments.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,which introduces the background of junior high school physics experiment teaching and finds out some of the problems,thus clarifying the value of this research,determining the research methods used in the research,and making an investigation on the current research status of physical experiments and scientific inquiry literacy in life at home and abroad.The second chapter firstly defines the concepts of scientific inquiry literacy and life-oriented physical experiment respectively,and consults some literatures to determine the theoretical basis of this research,namely,constructivism learning theory,Dewey’s "Education is life theory",Tao Xingzhi’s "life is education theory" and STSE theory,which provide theoretical support for the research of this paper.In Chapter 3,questionnaires are issued to teachers and students about the status quo of life-oriented experiments in junior middle school physics teaching,and some investigations are made on teachers’ and students’ understanding of life-oriented physics experiments and scientific inquiry literacy,so as to facilitate more targeted practical research in the next step.The fourth chapter and the fifth chapter are the main part of this paper.The fourth chapter introduces the concrete examples of the cultivation of students’ scientific inquiry literacy through the life physics experiment,including some life physics experiment equipment made by the teacher,some life physics experiment gizmos made by the students and some competitions they participated in.The teaching design of life physics experiment demonstrates the effect of life physics experiment on the cultivation of scientific inquiry literacy.The fifth chapter evaluates students’ scientific literacy from the aspects of teacher evaluation,teacher evaluation of the same subject,student self-evaluation and achievement evaluation after a period of life physics experiment research,and finds that scientific inquiry literacy has been significantly improved,and further from several dimensions of scientific inquiry literacy--raising questions,conjectures and hypotheses,designing experiments to observe phenomena and hands-on operation.Analysis of experimental conclusions,evaluation of experiments,exchanges and cooperation to explore the role of life physics experiment in cultivating students’ scientific inquiry literacy.Chapter six summarizes and looks forward to this thesis.The research shows that the life-style experiment teaching of physics in junior high school has a significant effect on students’ scientific inquiry ability,which can improve students’ grades,cultivate students’ ability to put forward questions,conjecture and hypothesis,design experiments,summarize conclusions and other aspects of scientific inquiry under the core quality,and cultivate students’ core quality of physics subject subtly.Hope this paper can provide some reference value for the majority of frontline teachers. |
