The world today is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century.In the context of globalization,the world is becoming increasingly multipolar.As an important pole in the world,China is playing an increasingly important role on the international stage.Since the 19 th National Congress of the CPC,China has entered a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and the Chinese nation faces the best period of development opportunities in history.In the face of complex domestic and international situations,we must continue to focus on building a strong sense of community among the Chinese nation,unite people of all ethnic groups,and jointly contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Marx’s theory of world history came into being and developed under the background of globalization dominated by the capitalist mode of production in the 19 th century.It still has important guiding significance for the development process of world history at present.Marx’s theory of world history is the fundamental way to deal with ethnicity and cosmopolitanism.Marx’s theory of the world history is not only the theory of the productive forces and communication,but also the theory of human emancipation,which has important reference value for the development of minority areas and their education of our country.In the new situation of the consciousness of the Chinese nation community,the goal of the development of education in the minority areas is not only to focus on ethnic minorities and ethnic areas,we should constantly promote the Chinese cultural identity,serve the modernization construction and personnel training of multi-ethnic countries.Therefore,education in ethnic areas and non-ethnic areas is not different in nature,only in position.However,this does not deny the uniqueness of education in ethnic areas.Characteristic development is the necessary mission and actual choice of education in minority areas.Therefore,it is necessary to reflect on the characteristic development of education in minority areas so that it can adapt to the development of the new era.First,we should reflect on the left-leaning mistake of ignoring the characteristic development of education in minority areas and only taking minority areas as backward areas.In fact,Marx’s theory of world history does not exclude ethnicity and regionalism.Marx’s theory of world history is not a speculative philosophy of history.Ethnicity and regionalism are still important characteristics of world history.Ignoring the characteristics of ethnic areas is not conducive to the individual development of ethnic personality.To ignore the characteristics of ethnic areas is to ignore the constraints of ethnic and regional characteristics on the development of human personality,but only the traditional characteristics of ethnic areas is not enough,the development of productive forces in ethnic areas need to provide conditions for the development of human personality.It is necessary to realize that respecting the characteristics of ethnic areas is the guarantee of the development of educational characteristics in ethnic areas.The foundation of the development of educational characteristics in minority areas is not characteristic,but development.The educational characteristics in minority areas are the realistic basis of the development of educational characteristics in minority areas.The characteristics of minority areas make the development of educational characteristics closer to reality,and determine the upper limit of high-quality development of education in minority areas.Second,we should reflect on the mistake of overemphasizing the development of educational characteristics in ethnic areas in the last two decades of the new century.People of the present age are national beings in the course of world history.We should strictly distinguish between "people in the process of world history" and "people in the history of the world",so as to find a correct historical position for individuals in ethnic areas.But too much emphasis on the characteristics of ethnic areas tend to neglect the all-round development of human beings.Among them,there exists a system dilemma between the traditional education model in ethnic areas and the national unified requirement.The practical dilemma between the inheritance of ethnic culture and the cultivation of modern people;There is a moral conflict between education service for local development and human free and comprehensive development in minority areas.We should realize that the national unity requirement is the driving force for the development of educational characteristics in ethnic areas.The requirement of national unification represents the forward direction of the development of education characteristics in minority areas,which should cultivate patriots with international vision.Third,we should reflect on the tendency of not being able to talk about the educational characteristics of ethnic areas in the new era.The diversified and integrated pattern of the Chinese nation is the product of the world historical process and has world historical significance.We need to be alert to postmodernism and its historical nihilism,and respect the origin,tradition and culture of the Chinese nation.Building a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation is not inconsistent with the unity of the Chinese nation in diversity.The community of the Chinese nation is a historical continuation of the unity and diversity of the Chinese nation.The unity and diversity of the Chinese nation does not mean the development of the Chinese nation.The community of the Chinese nation is a prerequisite for the development of the Chinese nation.Therefore,education in ethnic areas should develop under the guidance of the construction of Chinese ethnic community.We should adhere to the principle of combining education with production and labor,and realize that the education of the consciousness of the Chinese nation community is the guarantee of the development of educational characteristics in minority areas,and the development of educational characteristics in minority areas is the basic principle of educational modernization in minority areas.
