Under the subject selection model,"interest,major,and subject selection" are organically linked together,and high school students’ interest in learning is given a more prominent position.The empirical survey found that there is a significant correlation between interest in learning and subject selection,and there is a significant difference between high school students who take politics and those who do not take politics in all dimensions of their interest in learning politics,and high school students who take politics have a higher level of interest in learning politics than those who do not take politics.High school students’ interest in learning politics class is mainly influenced by teachers’ pedagogical level,teaching content and classroom atmosphere,while showing a significant positive influence relationship.The higher the pedagogical level of teachers,the more attractive the teaching contents of political science classes,and the more active the teaching atmosphere of political science classes,the higher the interest of high school students in studying political science classes.Therefore,three aspects of teachers’ teaching level,teaching content,and classroom atmosphere are proposed to cultivate high school students’ interest in studying politics and to improve the current situation of high school students’ low interest in studying politics and their willingness to take optional politics: first,to actively play the leading role of teachers and correctly treat optional and non-elective candidates;second,to enhance the attractiveness of teaching content and improve students’ interest in politics and willingness to take optional politics;third,to pay attention to classroom atmosphere and strengthen the emotional concern for non-elective candidates.In addition,we should strengthen the guidance of political study methods and improve the self-efficacy of non-elective candidate.
