| As a kind of high-level physical thinking ability,junior high school students’ ability of the primitive physical problem-representation is able to meet the inherent needs of students’ individual development,and it is the ability for students to use physical knowledge and laws to solve practical problems.It is also the focus of frontline educators who need to pay attention and cultivate students.In recent years,more and more attention has been paid to the research of physical problem-representation.However,the research on the current situation of junior high school students’ ability of primitive physical problem-representation is obviously insufficient.According to the new version of physics curriculum standards for compulsory education released in 2022,the educational objectives for the stage of compulsory education have changed,which makes the direction and emphasis of cultivating students also need to change,leading to the corresponding changes in the direction and methods of teachers’ cultivating students.However,which specific aspects that should be cultivated have become a major issue of teaching at present.From the perspective of the content of the new curriculum standard,the cultivation of core literacy for junior high school students is the top priority,which key ability is an important component that constitute the core literacy of junior high school physics.The importance of the ability of the primitive physical problem-representation can be seen based on the fact that it can effectively highlight students’ mastery of key ability.Therefore,to strengthen the development of junior high school students’ ability of the primitive physical problem-representation,we must first clarify the current situation of junior high school students’ ability of the primitive physical problem-representation.This study first analyzed and defined the concepts of "the primitive physical problem","the primitive physics problem-representation" and "junior high school students’ ability of the primitive physical problem-representation ".And the basic characteristics of the primitive physical problem,levels and types of the primitive physical problem-representation,the process of the primitive physics problem-representation,the thinking activities of the primitive physical problem-representation of junior high school students,the components of junior high school students’ ability of the primitive physical problem-representation and their influencing factors are also theoretically discussed.On this basis,two components of the ability of the primitive physical problem-representation are proposed.A text paper on junior high school students’ ability of the primitive physical problem-representation was developed by drawing on the primitive physical problem measurement tool and based on the viewpoint of self-organized representation theory,and the content of the text paper was improved by combining the evaluation of experts and front-line teachers in the industry.The reliability and validity of the text paper were tested through a small-scale distribution of the text paper for preliminary testing.The results show that the developed test paper has high reliability and validity and can be used in the follow-up research study.Use this test paper to survey and analyze junior high school students in a city.Students’ recent physics scores,language scores and mathematics scores were collected at the same time as the test,and the relationship between scores in the above subjects,gender and students’ ability of the primitive physical problem-representation was analyzed.Then provide improvements for the deficiencies that were analyzed in order to provide new ideas for teachers’ teaching.The results of the study indicate that the overall level of junior high school students’ ability of the primitive physical problem-representation is low,especially in the areas of abstract representation,methodological representation and pictorial representation.From the perspective of thinking,the cultivation of abstract thinking,analytical thinking and figurative thinking in the development of key ability in the core literacy of junior high school students still needs to be strengthened.There was no significant difference in students’ ability of the primitive physical problem-representation by gender,but there was a significant and positive correlation between students’ performance in physics,language and mathematics and their ability of the primitive physical problem-representation.Finally,the following suggestions for improvement were made from the perspective of developing junior high school students’ physical thinking and the results of the correlation analysis: Enriching students’ representational reserves with a combination of physical experiments and multimedia to develop students’ physical image thinking;Strengthening students’ ability to make abstract generalizations in physics through the reverse questioning method to develop their physical abstract thinking;Through the form of mind mapping teaching strengthens students’ ability of step-by-step analysis to develop their physical analytical thinking.By combining ancient poetry and mathematical models with physics instruction,improve students’ ability of the primitive physical problem-representation. |
