Study On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of After-School Sports Services In Primary Schools In Shangcai County Under "Double Reduction"

The promulgation and implementation of the "double reduction" policy has provided opportunities for the development of after-school sports services,while at the same time putting forward new requirements.The development of after-school sports services has largely increased the time for students to participate in physical exercise,which can effectively improve students’ physical health and guide young students to enjoy sports,strengthen their physical fitness,improve their personality,refine their will and promote the overall development of physical and mental health.This study adopts literature method,questionnaire survey method and fieldwork method to study the development of after-school physical education service in primary schools in Shangcai County,and conducts questionnaire surveys on physical education teachers,students,parents and physical education team leaders to understand the development of after-school physical education service in primary schools in Shangcai County and the willingness and satisfaction of different subjects with after-school physical education service.In the end,we propose corresponding development strategies to promote the effective implementation of after-school physical education services under the "double reduction" policy.(1)After the implementation of the "double reduction" policy,after-school sports services in primary schools in Shangcai County have been well developed,with ball games being the main activity and mostly organized in classes;18.8% of schools have established cooperation with outside institutions;93.8% of schools funded the after-school sports service entirely by parents;and salary subsidies in urban schools are higher than those in township schools(P<0.05).(2)The after-school sports service teachers’ team mainly consisted of in-service teachers,and most of the instructors had bachelor’s degrees,and their teaching experience was mainly above 20 years.The teachers’ participation rate and willingness to participate were 87.0% and 82.6% respectively,and the willingness to participate was higher for teachers in urban schools than for teachers in township schools(P<0.05),and the willingness to participate was higher for teachers with specialist degrees and below than for teachers with bachelor’s degrees and above(P<0.05);the participation rate and willingness to participate of students were 93.8% and 91.3% respectively,and the participation rate of students in rural schools was higher than that of students in urban schools(P<0.05);79.7% of parents said they understood and supported after-school sports services.(3)The satisfaction level of teachers is high,but some teachers think that the after-school sports service has problems such as lack of venues and equipment,and are worried about the impact on their private lives;the satisfaction level of students is relatively satisfactory,and the satisfaction level of students in rural schools is higher than that of students in urban schools,and some students think that their sports level has improved after participating in the after-school sports service;the satisfaction level of parents is low,and some parents do not support their children’s participation because the after-school sports service has too much exercise and they feel fatigued.(4)The main problems in the implementation of after-school sports services in Shangcai County include: schools have not established a sound management system;the condition of after-school sports service venues and equipment is poor;teachers’ professionalism varies and there is the phenomenon of part-time work;parents’ satisfaction needs to be improved;and there are certain differences between urban and township schools.(5)In response to the problems in after-school sports services,the following recommendations are made: establish a sound system;plan venue resources rationally and seek support from multiple parties;strengthen the construction of teachers and scientific design and optimise the service model;clarify demand and supply and increase publicity;and collaborate with relevant departments to reduce the gap between urban and rural areas.
