Research On The Phenomenon Of Narrowing Labor Education

Labor education is an important form of education in China,and the deep implementation of labor education is a new requirement of the party for education in the new era,and it is also an important component of the comprehensive education system for students’ moral,intellectual,physical,artistic,and labor development.However,in the practice process,the narrowing of labor education is quite worrying.The so-called "narrowing" refers to the development state of labor education only staying in some content,form,or space because the school has not fully tapped the resources of labor education and fully played the function of labor education.This study mainly uses literature review,survey,and case study methods.Based on the investigation of the current situation of labor education in 159 primary and secondary schools in H province and S city,13 primary and secondary schools were selected for field research according to their school characteristics,stage,and location.The survey found that there are various forms of narrowing of labor education practice in the 13 primary and secondary schools in S city,including "disjointed" narrowing,"inclusive" narrowing,and "intersecting" narrowing.The reasons for the narrowing phenomenon include not only the insufficient conditions required for labor education but also the narrow understanding of labor education by schools.Behind the insufficient conditions and narrow understanding are the absence of government and experts.To fundamentally solve the dilemma of labor education narrowing,it is necessary to reshape the labor education concept guided by Marxist time and space views and to break through the binary vertical relationship between "government-schools" and build a new labor education system of "schools-intermediaries-government" with multi-dimensional interaction to comprehensively promote labor education practice.
