| Rural small-scale schools have been the weakest and poorest link in the organizational form of school education in China.However,as an objective entity of the society,rural small-scale schools are not only an important support to ensure that schoolage children in rural areas enter school nearby,but also play a vital role in promoting the development of rural education.To develop fair and quality education,we must make up for the shortcomings and tackle the difficulties at the bottom,and focus on solving the education problems of small-scale rural schools.Therefore,the research on the relatively high-quality schools in rural small-scale schools is not only conducive to understanding the practical path of high-quality schools in rural small-scale schools,but also conducive to improving the quality of rural education and the balanced and coordinated development of urban and rural education.This study takes S Primary School in the south of Henan Province as a research case,supported by the theory of endogenous development,and comprehensively uses the methods of literature,interview and observation for investigation and research.Through theoretical research on the endogenous development of rural small-scale schools,four core elements are summed up,namely,school-running concept,headmaster guidance,teacher participation,and characteristic construction,which are the main factors to help rural small-scale schools achieve endogenous development.On this basis,through the analysis of the construction process of S Primary School we can find that the reconstruction of the school-running concept helps the school to improve the ability of endogenous development,the headmaster’s guidance is the driving force to stimulate the school’s endogenous development,the teacher’s participation is the resultant force to form the school’s endogenous development,and the characteristic construction increases the vitality of the school’s endogenous development.At the same time,the study find that there are the following problems in the process of internal development of S Primary School: the headmaster’s management authority is limited,and the high-level leadership of school development is lacking;the professional development of teachers is limited,and the teaching business lacks peer discussion;the students’ evaluation behavior is single,and the curriculum system needs to be optimized and improved;the characteristics of the school are blooming everywhere and lack of deep integration with the school as a whole.In order to solve the above problems,this study proposes corresponding optimization strategies from the four aspects of principals,teachers,students and characteristic construction: first,strengthen the principals’ guiding ideology and cultivate endogenous development awareness;the second is to build a teacher development platform and provide endogenous development conditions;third,deepen students’ evaluation behavior and form endogenous development consciousness;fourth,improve the school’s characteristic construction and realize the endogenous development guarantee.Taking the overall research on the endogenous development of S primary school as a consideration,this study attempts to explore various methods,approaches and measures taken by S primary school to achieve the endogenous development of the school.Through relevant research to reveal the beneficial experience of the endogenous development of rural small-scale schools,and strive to collect the real materials of highquality development of rural small-scale schools,with a view to providing certain materials and basis for the development and innovation of similar schools. |
