Family education is an important part of the education system.School education,social education and family education constitute three pillars of education together.Family education plays a vital role in the development of young children,family harmony and the revitalization of the country.Family Education Promotion Law of the People ’s Republic of China promulgate in 2021,which further emphasizes the importance of family education and clarifies the responsibilities of all sectors of society.However,the current family education has some problems,such as wrong educational philosophy,simple and mechanical educational methods,which need guidance.School is the main body of family education guidance,and secondary education is an important turning stage in the process of students’ growth.Therefore,junior high school should shoulder the important task of family education guidance.This research takes A school and B school in Nanchang as the research object,and uses literature method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and other methods to investigate the current situation of family education guidance in two schools,including their awareness,implementation,guidance team construction and management system.It is found that junior high school faces challenges such as insufficient attention to school family education guidance,imperfect implementation of school family education guidance,inadequate construction of school family education guidance team,and imperfect school family education guidance system.In view of the current problems,this paper makes an in-depth analysis and finds that the main reasons for the problems of family education guidance in junior middle school :first,there are misunderstandings in school cognition,which restrict the development of guidance;second,teachers’ work burden is heavy and the their ability of guidance is limited;third,the engagement of the government and society is insufficient,and the supply of various resources is short;fourth,the school does not pay enough attention to system construction and lacks management experience.Based on these problems,this paper combines the existing research results of school family education guidance at home and abroad and the current situation of family education guidance in Nanchang junior middle school,and puts forward the following suggestions to improve the effectiveness of school family education guidance: First,change their understanding of family education and clarify the direction of family education guidance.Second,develop family education guidance courses and improve the family education competence of parents in junior high schools.Third,give full play to the joint efforts of school,society and government to jointly build a family education guidance team.Fourth,improve the family education guidance management mechanism and ensure the implementation of family education guidance courses.
