| As a part of students’ learning activities, homework is not only an extension of classroom learning, but it is also an independent learning task for teachers to guide students to continue learning activities.Assignments include learning content, learning styles, and evaluation feedback, which should run through the entire learning process.Assignment design is the most critical step in homework, and the "double reduction" policy has made detailed requirements for improving the quality of homework and reducing the quantity. However, most schools currently do not pay attention to assignment design in the activities of improving teaching and learning, and the objectives of homework are vague, the structure of homework is poor, the type of homework is single, and the difficulty of homework is unbalanced. Therefore, whether it is policy orientation or realistic demands, assignment design should be placed in an important position. With the release of new curriculum standards in the compulsory education stage,large-unit teaching has become the development direction of mathematics teaching. The concept of large-units can effectively integrate the goals of class hours, organize the logic of teaching materials, and change the teaching of knowledge fragmentation, superficiality and clutter according to students’ learning conditions,so as to cultivate students’ core literacy and realize the effective connection between teaching and literacy goals. Therefore, using the concept of large units to guide homework design has become the development direction of mathematics teaching in junior high schools. The first part of this paper is to sort out the current situation of domestic and international research on the design of large unit homework in junior high school mathematics through literature research method, and define the core concepts to provide the theoretical basis for the subsequent proposal of design principles and processes. The second part is the investigation of the current situation, through the investigation and analysis method to understand the long-standing problems in the actual teaching of homework, and to conduct attribution analysis,so as to provide a realistic basis for the next homework design principles and processes. The third part is the model construction,in order to solve realistic problems, the principles of large unit assignment design are proposed from five dimensions of assignment goal, content, type, difficulty, and time, and the closed implementation process of circular improvement is designed: determine the goal-design the content-implement the assignment-reflect on the improvement goal, and each process is explained specifically.Through the case study method, two middle school mathematics assignment cases of textbook units are developed according to the design process, and the design strategies are extracted from them, and the design principles and processes are concluded to be feasible in developing the unit assignment cases, providing theoretical guidance for practical research. The fourth part is a summary of the study, which summarizes the conclusions drawn in the dissertation study, reflects on the shortcomings of the study, and offers an outlook on the design of subsequent unit assignments in middle school mathematics. |
