With the promotion of the national health strategy,school education is paying more and more attention to the development of students’ health literacy.In recent years,campus safety accidents have been frequent,and there are problems with students’ lifestyles and behaviors.In addition,the emergence of new infectious diseases such as new crown pneumonia has brought new threats to students’ lives and health.High school students are in the adolescent stage of dramatic physical and mental changes,at this stage,it is crucial to establish the correct concept of life,health and safety.In 2021,the Ministry of Education promulgated the "Guidelines for Integrating Life Safety and Health Education into Primary and Secondary School Curriculum and Teaching Materials",which provides direction for the penetration of life safety and health education in the subject.The purpose of this paper is to sort out the content framework of life safety and health education,compare the relevant contents of the compulsory high school biology board textbook and curriculum standards of the Human Education Edition(2019),analyze the feasibility of integrating life safety and health education in high school biology,and clarify the strategies and principles of life safety and health education to achieve effective implementation.This paper is divided into four specific sections:Part I.Analysis of the current status of the study: The connotation of life safety and health education and the current status of domestic and international research were analyzed and summarized through the literature research method.The study found that life safety and health education can be broken down into life education,safety education,and health education,containing five areas of healthy behavior and lifestyle,growth and development and adolescent health,mental health,infectious disease prevention and public health incident response,and safety emergency and risk avoidance,and is in the development stage without a specific implementation path.Part II,Feasibility Analysis: Based on the General High School Biology Curriculum Standards and combined with the Guide to Life Safety and Health Education in Primary and Secondary School Curriculum and Teaching Materials,we demonstrate the feasibility and necessity of the penetration of life safety and health education in high school biology teaching from the perspectives of the nature of the curriculum,curriculum objectives,subject core literacy,and curriculum framework.To fully explore the content of the compulsory panel of high school biology in the Human Education Edition(2019),analyze the distribution of relevant contents,and confirm that high school biology meets the long-term and extensive requirements of life safety education.Part III,Status Survey: The survey was conducted by questionnaire method and interview method on student teachers in the author’s internship school to understand the current situation of life safety and health education.The survey shows that: the level of students’ life safety and health literacy is generally low,lack of awareness of healthy living,and the level of basic knowledge and behavior of life safety and health education of some students needs to be improved;Teachers place a high value on life safety and health education,but are constrained by teaching pressures to deliver it effectively.Part IV,Analysis of Teaching Practices: To establish the principles and methods of life safety and health education infiltration,try to design teaching cases,and infiltrate life safety and health education in high school biology.After 4 months of teaching experiments,it was found that students in the experimental class had improved their life safety and health literacy in all 5 domains,showing significant changes,and students in the control class had improved their life safety and health literacy,but the changes in each domain were not significant.This study concludes that ○1 life safety and health education is at a developmental stage in China,with directions for development and a lack of specific methods;○2 The high school biology curriculum standards are close to the inherent requirements of life safety and health education,and the textbooks contain a lot of life safety and health education materials,so it is feasible to carry out life safety and health education in high school biology;○3 Students’ overall life safety and health literacy is low,and students and teachers tend to integrate life safety and health education into their daily instruction.Therefore,life safety and health education can be carried out in high school biology to help students establish a correct concept of life,safety and health and promote their healthy growth.
