The " Ordinary High School Ideological and Political Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition2020 Revision)" clearly points out ideological and political course core literacy: political identity literacy,scientific spiritual literacy,legal consciousness literacy and public participation literacy.These are key competencies and essential qualities that students need to adapt to the development of the future world.The " scientific spiritual literacy" requires students to adhere to the scientific world outlook and method of Marxism by learning ideological and political courses,and to make correct value judgement and behavioural choices in the face of personal growth,social progress,national development and human civilization.Moreover," scientific spiritual literacy" is a basic condition for achieving " political identity literacy",forming " legal consciousness literacy" and realising " public participation literacy".The new curriculum standards propose constructing the activity-based curriculum to cultivate students’ ideological and political course core literacy,and adopting " discriminatory learning " as an effective way of value guidance.The method of discriminative teaching is conducive to creating an active classroom,whereby students focus on analyzing themes,situational contexts and problems,while on the basis of teachers’ guidance and students’ independent thinking.Students through a series of processes,including autonomous judgment,expression of viewpoints,comparison and discrimination,analysis and argumentation,they can clarify cognitive and value conflicts.Thus,they make correct value judgment and behavioral choices.Ultimately,this teaching method effectively achieves the value guidance of ideological and political courses.The use of discriminative teaching method has unique advantages in cultivating students’ good thinking qualities,strengthening correct values,enhancing practical and innovative abilities.This is consistent with the requirements of the core of scientific spiritual literacy.This thesis studies the application of discriminative teaching in cultivating scientific spiritual literacy in high school ideological and political courses and is divided into the following five parts.The first part introduces the background and significance of the research topic,the current status of research at home and abroad,the research thought,the primary research methods,and the innovation points.The second part elaborates on the relevant overviews.It clarifies the five concepts of "discrimination " " discriminative teaching" " discriminative teaching in high school ideological and political courses" " scientific spirit",and "scientific spiritual literacy".It points out the characteristics of discriminative teaching in high school ideological and political courses,the main content and significance of scientific spiritual literacy,and then discusses the unique advantages and theoretical basis of cultivating scientific spiritual literacy through discriminative teaching.The third part adopts relevant research methods to understand the current problems in cultivating scientific spiritual literacy through discriminative teaching in high school ideological and political courses,and conducts causes analysis from the perspective of teaching and learning.The fourth part is based on the problems and causes,proposes optimization strategies for the teacher level and student level,and scientific spiritual literacy is integrated into them to achieve effective interaction between teaching and learning.The fifth part selects the fourth lesson of the first compulsory course," Socialism with Chinese characteristics enters new era ",as a case study for teaching practice and reflection,to promote the effective application of discriminative teaching in high school ideological and political teaching,to leverage the unique value of cultivating scientific spiritual literacy,and to assist in implementing the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people.
