A Study On College Students’ Red Cultural Identity In The New Era

Culture has a profound impact on the production and development of society.In the new era,culture is an important force to meet people’s needs for a better life and overcome risks and challenges on the way forward.Rooted in China’s fine traditional culture,red culture draws on Marx’s theory and develops in the great practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics.It embodies the ideology,ideal,belief and value pursuit of the Party and state,and has great political,historical,cultural,spiritual and educational values.College students in the new era shoulder the important task of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.To enhance the red cultural identity of college students in the new era is to strengthen the political identity of college students,enhance the historical memory,increase the cultural self-confidence,improve the moral cultivation and spiritual realm of college students.It is the due meaning of cultivating qualified builders and successors of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics.Based on the empirical investigation of seven universities in Yunnan,this paper focuses on college students’ red culture cognition,value identification,emotional and behavioral identification,and red culture education in colleges and universities in the new era.Through questionnaire survey and individual interviews,it is found that under the background of the new era,various colleges and universities actively improve the cognition,value identification,emotion and behavior identification of college students in the new era through various channels,such as giving full play to local red culture resources,constructing concentric circles of red culture and relying on "walking ideological and political courses".However,at the same time,it is also found that the cognition of red culture of college students in the new era is not comprehensive,the value identification needs to be deepened,the belief and behavior of red culture identification need to be improved,and the red culture education in colleges and universities is still insufficient.In view of the problems existing in the red cultural identity of college students in the new era,this paper further analyzes the reasons affecting the red cultural identity of college students in the new era from four aspects: bad social trend of thought,college red cultural education,family red cultural education,and the plight of the main body red cultural identity.Based on the existing problems and causes of college students’ red culture cognition,value identification,emotion and behavior identification,and college students’ red culture education in the new era,this paper proposes countermeasures to enhance college students’ red culture identification in the new era by combining the multi-dimensional elements of college students’ red culture identification:subject,object,medium and ring.Through the combination of theory and demonstration,the research theory of college students’ red cultural identity in the new era is enriched,in order to provide more theoretical and practical references for enhancing red cultural identity.
