With the implementation of the "double reduction" policy and the further development of the national sports industry policy,the development of the youth basketball training industry has ushered in a golden period.In this period,it is important to focus on the core demands and realities of the participants in the basketball training industry,identify the existing problems and propose optimisation strategies for the development of the industry.This study uses literature,questionnaires,interviews,mathematical and statistical methods,field research and observation methods to firstly,review the development of the youth basketball training industry in Xiamen,and then identify and classify the stakeholders in the process of optimising the development of the youth basketball training industry in Xiamen based on the stakeholder perspective.The study then identifies and classifies the stakeholders in the process of optimising the development of the youth basketball training industry in Xiamen based on the stakeholder perspective.The main findings of this study are as follows:(1)Among the eight categories of stakeholders in the youth basketball training industry in Xiamen,the core stakeholders are basketball training institutions,operators,students and parents,and coaches;the intermediate stakeholders are government departments and basketball associations;and the marginal stakeholders are the media and sports stadium companies.(2)The primary interest needs of the stakeholders were quantified: basketball training institutions,operators and coaches for their own economic needs;students and parents for improving physical quality;government departments for the public interest;and basketball associations for training basketball talents.In terms of how the stakeholders’ interests are realized,the basketball training institutions aim for a stable and sustainable source of students;the operators aim to optimize the management system of the training institutions;the coaches aim to improve their salaries;the students and parents aim to increase their time investment;the government departments aim to formulate relevant policies and regulations;and the basketball associations aim to improve the promotion system of basketball reserve talents.(3)The realities of the development of the youth basketball training industry in Xiamen are:the training institutions have been in operation for a relatively short period of time,the scale is small,the training content and teaching methods are traditional and single,and reasonable fees have not yet been set,and the publicity methods need to be further enriched;the level of education of the operators is generally high,but the degree of professionalism is low,and there are cases of multi-tasking,and there is a lack of assessment standards for coaches;the coaches The overall level of education is relatively young,with undergraduate degree being the main qualification,and most of them work part-time.There are more coaches without relevant professional qualifications and they are less satisfied with their salaries.Participants are mainly10-12 years old,mostly boys,and have a shorter and less frequent training period and lack of competition experience.Parental satisfaction with the training was low.(4)The problems in the youth basketball training industry in Xiamen from the perspective of stakeholders include: the management level of operators needs to be improved and the internal management system is not sound;the training quality is not guaranteed due to the lack of a supervisory system for the teaching of training courses;the proportion of part-time basketball training coaches is high and their interests are not met;the satisfaction level of trainees and parents with the training is low and trainees are not willing to renew their courses;the government functionaries The lack of strong supervision by government departments and the need to improve the standard of the industry;training institutions have outdated recruitment and promotion channels,and the cooperation with schools is worrying.(5)The strategies for optimising the development of the basketball training industry in Xiamen from the perspective of stakeholders are: operators should continuously improve their management level and strengthen the standardised management of institutions;continuously improve the assessment standards of coaches and protect their welfare;strengthen the construction of basketball training curriculum and improve the level of coaches’ teachers;students and parents should raise their awareness of their rights and protect their legitimate rights and interests;government departments should improve the division of responsibilities and The government departments should improve the division of responsibilities and establish a sound regulatory system.
