Abstract/Summary:
Learning fatigue can cause problems such as emotional decline,lack of confidence,and decreased ability to handle peer relationships.Therefore,it is of great significance to reduce the degree of academic fatigue in middle school students through physical exercise.This study aims to regulate academic self-efficacy through physical exercise,providing theoretical and practical basis for reducing negative academic emotions.Method: In this study,the "Questionnaire of Physical Exercise","Self-Efficacy Scale for Academic Achievement",and "Junior High School Students’ Learning Fatigue Scale" were used as survey tools.Through random cluster sampling,a total of 621 valid samples were collected from four junior high schools in Zhengzhou City.SPSS 23.0 was used for data analysis.Conclusion:(1)There were significant differences in middle school students’ physical exercise in terms of gender and grade(p<0.01),but no significant differences were found in terms of whether they were only children,hometown,or student leaders(p>0.05);There were significant differences in academic fatigue in terms of grade and whether they were class leaders(p<0.01),but no significant differences were found in terms of gender,only child status,or hometown(p>0.05);There were significant differences in academic self-efficacy in terms of gender,hometown,class leadership status,and grade(p<0.01),but no significant differences were found in terms of whether they were only children(p>0.05).(2)There was a significant negative correlation between middle school students’ physical exercise and academic fatigue(r=-0.283,p<0.01),and a significant positive correlation between physical exercise and academic self-efficacy(r=0.207,p<0.01);There was a significant negative correlation between academic fatigue and academic self-efficacy(r=-0.056,p<0.01).(3)The level of physical exercise among middle school students was at a moderately low level,while the levels of academic fatigue and academic self-efficacy were at a moderately high level.(4)Physical exercise is an effective way to reduce academic fatigue among middle school students,and academic self-efficacy partially mediates the effect of physical exercise on academic fatigue.
