| Outcomes-based education(hereinafter referred to as OBE),as an advanced education concept, takes student-centered,output-oriented and continuous improvement as its core content. After China officially became a member of the Washington Agreement in 2016,the OBE concept was widely used in domestic engineering colleges and universities, with the purpose of further improving the quality of engineering talent training and gradually promoting it to all fields of education. With the continuous updating of social development needs, higher requirements for future talents are also put forward. The public physical education curriculum in colleges and universities plays an active role in cultivating students’ awareness and ability to acquire health, and effectively coping with the health threats brought by future social development. However,in the current classroom, students’ interest is not high or they learn passively, and they do not spend time to exercise after class.Due to the imperfection of physical education, students’ physique has become an urgent problem to be solved. Therefore, the teaching reform of college physical education is imminent, and the application of OBE concept in physical education is the new trend of teaching innovation reform.Applying OBE concept to college physical education curriculum is an effective measure to improve the quality of college physical education. This paper attempts to apply the OBE concept to university public physical education courses by using action research, investigation, observation, literature, mathematical statistics, and repeated communication with students in class. To this end, students from three classes of Yunnan Normal University were randomly selected as the object of case implementation.Through the volleyball pad, pass, spike, serve and other contents in the volleyball field, the basic idea of "reverse design, forward construction" was put forward according to the OBE concept, combined with the internal needs of students(for example, students hope that the physical education class is interesting,800 meters can pass the exam, etc.),the needs of schools, employers and other related departments,Formulate the expected output objectives, design and implement the pre-experiment and three rounds of action research.During the implementation process, through the docking of the expected objectives with students’ learning effects and future vision goals, summarize and reflect the problems found in the teaching process, continuously improve the teaching plan, and constantly summarize the teaching experience. The results show that:(1)The teaching under the OBE concept allows students to give better feedback to the classroom.Under the guidance of the OBE concept, the classroom is studentcentered, teaching students according to their aptitude, fully considering students’ future professional life needs, can meet students’ actual needs, meet students’ expectations of the sports classroom, promote students’ all-round development, and students’ feedback on the classroom is good.(2)The teaching under the OBE concept is conducive to the cultivation of students’ interest in sports. In order to enable students to actively participate in learning,we have made full use of games, competitions and other methods to stimulate students’ interest in learning volleyball. We have observed that students have more time to participate in volleyball after class.Students spontaneously organize recreational volleyball games after class, and volleyball interest has been significantly improved.(3)The teaching under the OBE concept is conducive to the cultivation of students’ awareness of physical exercise. In the course of the experiment,we can see some positive changes of students. For example, students put forward the hope that they can leave some time to play games for themselves in class. Some students also organize volleyball matches for exercise after class, reflecting that students are gradually participating in this sport, recognizing the value of exercise, and cultivating the awareness of physical exercise.(4)The teaching under the OBE concept can help students form a better attitude towards sports learning.Students can take more active part in learning and training activities in sports classes with clearer goals and more interesting.Combined with the assessment method that allows students to feel moderate pressure, students can use the observation table to highlight the evaluation of students’ performance at ordinary times.Students will behave more actively and consciously in class, which can promote students to form a better attitude towards sports learning.(5)Teaching under the OBE concept is more conducive to achieving the expected objectives.Through action research,it is found that students can better achieve their learning objectives in a competitive and collaborative environment, and the overall classroom quality has improved.(6)The teaching under the OBE concept plays a positive role in improving students’ physical fitness.By comparing and analyzing the data before and after the teaching experiment,it is found that the students’ indexes such as 800/1000 meters, standing long jump, sitting forward flexion, vital capacity,BMI,and 50 meters running show slight changes, but the improvement is not significant; The boys’ pullup and girls’ one-minute sit-ups have significantly improved, which is due to more exercises on waist and abdomen strength and arm strength in volleyball class. The reason why the overall change is not obvious is that the improvement of physical fitness needs a certain period of time to achieve, while the research time of the thesis is only more than three months, two class hours a week, and will not have an immediate effect on students’ physical fitness.Students in public physical education are not athletes of professional training teams. Therefore, changes in academic sense cannot be realized in the short term. |
