| Currently, with the rapid development of digitalization and computer networks, society has entered a new era of information explosion. The new era requires innovative talents and the field of education needs to change and develop to produce new talents that meet the requirements of the times. Therefore, networked, digital and intelligent technologies have also been introduced into the field of education with a view to providing personalized education for each student. In order to personalize education for each student, scholars have conducted in-depth research and studies. With the development of adaptive learning systems, the use of intelligent algorithms for personalized learning has become an important trend and a hot topic in the field of education. However,in the current research on personalized learning, big data-based adaptive learning systems have been alienated into "one-to-one" intelligent problem solving software and course tutorials in order to meet the objectives of exam-based education, resulting in over-learning and repetitive learning.More sophisticated algorithms are used to accurately calculate the characteristics of learners and recommend suitable exercises for them, making them more of a ’problem solver’.Technology seems to hinder the development of higher order skills and shackle students in their search for meaning in learning. In recent years, with the rapid development of educational games, rich dynamic interactions, interesting storylines and engaging graphics can put students in the process of contextual interaction, making it easy and meaningful for them to acquire knowledge, which provides a good platform to support personalized learning.Firstly, the game’s unique interactive features provide a learner-centered learning context in which students are immersed through virtual situations and in which teaching content can be effectively embedded in the game.Guided by theories such as mind-flow theory and contextual learning, this study expects to rely on digital technologies to collect data on students’ behavior in game tasks, use fuzzy logic algorithms to diagnose and assess their knowledge mastery, and give corresponding feedback and adjustments to teaching strategies in order to meet students’ mind-flow experiences while realizing personalized learning. The research uses design-based research methods, literature analysis and questionnaires to design and develop an adaptive educational game that effectively assesses students’ knowledge, guided by theory and using game development tools. The following three points will discuss the development of the research.(1)Grounded theory research. The research is mainly based on the author’s reading and analysis of the research field on adaptive learning and the research field of educational games, and a detailed elaboration and summary of the main research base theories, such as the theory of mind flow, the theory of contextual learning, and the theory of experiential learning.(2)Research on adaptive educational game models. After analyzing the game model and the model of the adaptive learning system in previous studies, the author draws on the SS-DA/RSTR game model architecture and, with the purpose of the study as the starting point, proposes to combine the three modules of the learner model, domain model and teaching model in the adaptive learning system with the three functional spaces in the SS-DA/RSTR game architecture: execution space, problem space and evaluation space One by one,the adaptive educational game model for learners’ knowledge level is constructed and the model functions and components are described in detail.(3)Research on the design and development of adaptive educational games that effectively assess learners’ knowledge levels. This study selects the electrical knowledge of Ohm’s Law in secondary school physics as the content of the game, and designs a game task system that combines the main line and the branch line. The game is based on a fuzzy logic algorithm, which calculates the learners’ mastery of the knowledge points.Based on the game model developed in this study, the game script and the overall game structure are designed. The game development tool RPG MAKER MV and editing software such as Photoshop are used to develop specific game examples. This study creatively incorporates adaptive technology into the game design to achieve the function of dynamically adjusting game parameters and providing adaptive feedback through student game performance in the game. The study still has many shortcomings, and future research work will continue to focus on the design and development of more game-excellent adaptive educational game models and examples. |
