| Geography Curriculum Standard of Ordinary Senior High School(2017 Edition)clearly points out that senior high school geography teaching should make full use of information technology and strengthen the construction of visual digital resources.Visual teaching resources play an important role in transforming traditional teaching methods and helping learners build visual models.How to choose the appropriate teaching content according to the course standard,and how to design the visual teaching resources with vivid form and rich connotation are urgent problems to be solved in geography visual teaching.First,based on the analysis of relevant literature,this study clarifies the connotation of GIS,geography teaching and visualization,and reviews the research status at home and abroad.By analyzing the current situation of the application of GIS and other visualization technologies in high school geography teaching,it is found that teaching tools are not sufficiently used in high school geography classroom teaching,and the development and application of relevant visualization resources have not yet formed a perfect system.Secondly,under the guidance of frontline geography teachers and based on the current practical needs of teachers and students for visual teaching resources,this study sorted out the teaching content suitable for visual design in the textbooks "Geography Compulsory 1" and "Geography Compulsory 3",analyzed the feasibility of using Arc GIS and other software for visual development.Using questionnaires and interviews to find out the realistic needs of teachers and students for visual teaching resources in high school geography,and constructed a visual teaching framework and teaching resource development process.Then,taking the "Formation of Mountains" as an example,this study designed and developed a visual teaching resource that includes three-dimensional topographic maps,seismic 3D models,and mountain formation.Finally,Putting the developed visual teaching resources into teaching practice,in order to test the application effect of visual teaching resources,teaching experiments were carried out in two schools,and relevant data were collected by testing and questionnaire survey.The data show that the visual teaching resource of "Formation of Mountains" can help students understand and apply the relevant knowledge of geological structure module,improve the learning effect,stimulate students’ interest in geography learning,and enhance their sense of self-efficacy.It effectively promotes students’ abilities such as collaborative communication,independent enquiry and learning skills such as the use of technology tools. |
