| In the field of education, academic boredom refers to a state emotion, which is when students experience boredom in situations where they are not challenging and overly challenging, and have an important impact on students’ performance and participation in all aspects of the learning field.Under the background of "double reduction",many scholars agree that excessive academic burden is one of the important reasons for academic boredom. The "double reduction" policy points out that it is necessary to effectively reduce students’ excessive homework burden. In order to scientifically and comprehensively evaluate the current situation of junior high school students’ homework burden,it is necessary to build and improve systematic evaluation indicators and evaluation tools. In this study, according to the scientific questionnaire preparation procedure, the homework burden questionnaire of junior high school students was compiled, and on this basis, the relationship between homework burden and academic boredom of junior high school students,as well as the mediating role of future planning in the relationship between the two and the moderating role of parental participation were discussed. The first study took junior high school students as the research object, constructed a theoretical model on the basis of literature analysis and semi-open-ended questionnaire survey, and compiled the questions of the initial questionnaire on the homework burden of junior high school students. The collected data were randomly divided into two parts, and sample 1 was used for item analysis and exploratory factor analysis, the initial questionnaire items were established, and the factors were named.Sample 2 was used for confirmatory factor analysis and reliability and validity test to form a formal questionnaire, which included two dimensions: objective homework burden and subjective homework burden, with a total of 8 questions. The results show that the questionnaire on homework burden of junior high school students has good reliability and validity indexes, and can be used as an effective measurement tool for junior high school students’ homework burden.Study 2 adopted the method of questionnaire survey, taking junior high school students as the research subjects, using the self-compiled junior high school students’ homework burden questionnaire, the planning process of the adolescent future orientation questionnaire into questionnaires, the academic boredom questionnaire and the Perceptions of Parents Scales to conduct group testing, aiming to explore the relationship between homework burden and academic boredom,as well as the mediating role of future planning between the two and the moderating role of parental participation. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between homework burden, future planning and academic boredom, and parental participation and homework burden were significantly correlated with future planning and not with academic boredom.Homework burden and future planning can significantly predict academic boredom, and future planning plays a part-mediating role between homework burden and academic boredom; The slope analysis results show that under the high level of parental participation, with the increase of future planning level, academic boredom shows a downward trend. In summary, all the indicators of the junior high school students’ homework burden questionnaire prepared in this study meet psychometric standards and are a measurement tool that can be used in related fields.Secondly, homework burden predicts academic boredom positively, and future planning plays a part-mediating role in the relationship between the two.In addition, junior high school students with high parental participation level, when faced with excessive homework burden, due to the active participation of their parents, they have a higher level of planning for their future, have a good assessment of homework status and ability to withstand pressure,so academic boredom is low.For junior high school students with low parental participation, the mediating role of future planning is not significant. This study reveals the relationship between homework burden, future planning, parental participation and academic boredom among junior high school students, and provides theoretical support for the development of relevant research and intervention programs to alleviate academic boredom among junior high school students. |
